Scout Program
G Ventures launched in 2021 to close the earliest‑stage funding gap for French student entrepreneurs. Each cohort of up to ten founding teams receives an upfront €50 000 uncapped SAFE for 5 percent equity, then joins a five‑month remote‑first accelerator that blends weekly workshops, 1‑to‑1 mentor sessions and tactical office hours.
Founders tap a 50‑plus mentor bench drawn from operators at Station F, Y Combinator alumni and local seed investors while working toward product launch or early revenue.
The programme’s HQ team—composed of trained student investors—provides diligence support, go‑to‑market coaching and warm introductions. At the end of the cycle, companies pitch an invite‑only Demo Day that routinely attracts France’s leading pre‑seed and seed funds.
Two batches run per year and alumni continue to access the community, perks and follow‑on co‑investment indefinitely.
It's for students who want to learn about, practice, and discover venture capital.

Genius NGO, France's first youth entrepreneurial group, gave birth to G. Ventures.
Since 2013, the Genius Leaders have helped over 100 company entrepreneurs begin their businesses while still in school or shortly after graduation.
In 2021, Maxime and Julie from Genius decided to take it a step further in their support of student startups by establishing G. Ventures, France's first Student VC.
Applications stay open year‑round via the “Apply for Funding” form on G Ventures’ website. The investment team reviews submissions weekly and invites selected founders to a two‑step process: a 30‑minute screening call followed by a deeper discussion with the student investment committee.
Final decisions are issued within two days of the committee vote. The Winter batch kicks off in September and the Summer batch in March; accepted teams are automatically enrolled in the next upcoming cohort.
Successful applicants receive a €50 000 investment on founder‑friendly terms—5 percent equity via an uncapped SAFE with MFN. No carry, fees or valuation cap apply. G Ventures does not take board seats but reserves pro‑rata rights to participate in future rounds.
Founders pay no tuition or programme fees. Their only cost is the standard equity exchanged for G Ventures’ capital; all workshops, perks and mentor access are included.
The accelerator runs twice annually and follows a consistent playbook.
