First Momentum Ventures Scout Program

First Momentum Ventures operates an extensive Venture Scouts network comprising over 100 scouts who function as an extended arm of the firm's investment team across Europe and beyond. Scouts serve as ecosystem integrators and deal sourcing partners, leveraging their networks to identify emerging high-potential startups aligned with the firm's Deep Tech and industrial innovation focus.

First Momentum Ventures was founded in 2018 and invests in pre-seed and seed-stage B2B, industrial tech, and Deep Tech startups, primarily across Europe. The firm raised €35M for Fund II (2025), demonstrating institutional commitment to the European Deep Tech ecosystem.

Designed for Founders, Operators, Researchers, Students. The program is remote. Participation is generally part time.

• Strong technical foundation in CS, engineering, or equivalent discipline
• Active embeddedness in European tech ecosystems
• Connection to universities, research institutions, or startup communities
• Genuine interest in Deep Tech or industrial innovation

First Momentum targets technically-fluent individuals including computer science students, PhD researchers, serial entrepreneurs, and technical operators already embedded in relevant innovation communities.

First Momentum dates its scout community to 2018. A separate engineer-focused venture capital course is six weeks long and runs twice a year; this does not establish how long scout participation lasts.
