Overview

Launched in late 2023, the Gen Z VCs Fellowship gives four high‑potential students or recent graduates a one‑week, fully remote rotation inside a venture‑capital firm. Fellows shadow partners on founder calls, build diligence memos, sit in on partner meetings and craft platform projects ranging from content to community events.

Participating funds span impact‑driven seed firms such as American Dream Fund, Behind Genius Ventures, Four Acres Capital and Pride Fund 1, exposing fellows to diverse investment theses and mentor styles. The programme grew out of Gen Z VCs’ 1 700‑person “VC 101” course and its 30 000‑member Slack community, extending classroom learning into résumé‑ready deal experience. Selection is deliberately inclusive: a blind‑review process and outreach to non‑target universities produced a finalist pool that was 85 percent non‑target, 70 percent women and 80 percent BIPOC. Fellows receive a stipend from the host fund and lifetime access to all Gen Z VCs community resources, including the job board, peer mentorship circles and global meet‑ups.
