Beyond Capital Scout Program

Beyond Capital Scout Program, launched in April 2018, is a pioneering initiative that introduced scout investing to the Middle East. Developed through a partnership between Endeavor Jordan and Silicon Badia with USAID funding, the program represents an innovative approach to early-stage venture capital investing in the Jordan startup ecosystem.

The program operates by empowering a select group of individual scouts to make small-ticket investments into early-stage companies. These scouts bring diverse expertise and perspectives to identify promising opportunities across multiple sectors and geographies. The model is designed to widen investor participation in new economic sectors and catalyze early-stage investing activity.

A distinctive feature of the Beyond Capital Scout Program is its matching capital component. Scouts are required to help investee companies secure co-investors and angels willing to invest alongside Beyond Capital, effectively leveraging additional capital for portfolio companies while building and educating an investor community throughout Jordan and beyond. This approach strengthens the startup ecosystem by creating networks of multiple investors around each opportunity rather than relying solely on Beyond Capital's capital.

Funded by USAID, Beyond Capital is an LC created through a joint partnership between Endeavor Jordan, a leading non-profit that supports high-impact entrepreneurs, & Silicon Badia, a global venture capital firm focusing on investments in the tech sector.

Designed for Scouts, Investors. The program is in person. Participation is generally part time.

The program seeks exceptional individuals with genuine desire to contribute to their communities and ability to add value beyond capital investment. The program is ongoing with a rolling selection of scouts.
