The Gaingels Venture Inclusion Program (VIP) is a comprehensive initiative designed to increase participation from minorities and underrepresented groups in the innovation economy and venture capital industry. Gaingels, an LGBTQIA+-focused venture capital firm, created VIP to build pathways for talented individuals from marginalized communities to enter and succeed in venture. The program aims to democratize access to venture capital careers, increase diversity of perspectives within VC, and create economic opportunities for underrepresented talent.

The Gaingels Venture Inclusion Program (VIP) focuses on increasing diversity within the venture capital industry by providing opportunities for underrepresented individuals. The program aims to create a more inclusive innovation ecosystem by supporting talented individuals from marginalized communities in launching successful venture careers.
Candidates are recruited and vetted based on their demonstrated interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship, underrepresented background in tech/VC, and commitment to diversity and inclusion values. Recruitment occurs through partnerships with diversity-focused nonprofits and associations.
VIP offers a paid fellowship for selected fellows, providing financial support during the 16-week program.
There is no cost to participate in the program; it is a free fellowship.
The program lasts for 16 weeks, during which fellows engage in intensive, career-focused activities.
The program requires a full-time commitment from participants for the duration of the 16 weeks.
