Genesis Alternative Ventures Fellowship

The Genesis Alternative Ventures Fellowship is a full-time, 12 to 24 week investment-team fellowship for candidates with several years of relevant work experience and/or a master's degree, designed around venture debt sourcing, underwriting, transaction execution, portfolio monitoring, and investment memos. The program sits inside Genesis Alternative Ventures, a Singapore-based private venture debt lender focused on venture-backed companies in Southeast Asia.

Genesis targets startups in high-growth sectors across Southeast Asia, providing venture debt as a complement to equity funding. The fellowship role is ideal for professionals looking to transition into venture capital or deepen expertise in emerging market venture finance.

Designed for Investors. The program is in person. Participation is generally full time.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in dynamic, startup-oriented environments
• Investment banking, private equity, or venture capital background strongly preferred
• Strong financial modeling capabilities and advanced spreadsheet proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments
• Willingness to work full-time for extended period
