Amasia is a thesis-driven, global venture capital firm focused on sustainability and climate. The firm invests at the seed stage in companies addressing environmental challenges, with offices in San Francisco and Singapore.
The Amasia Fellowship, created in 2019, is a paid, remote fellowship for college students (undergraduate and graduate) who work directly with the firm's managing partners on climate and sustainability research. During the fall and spring academic semesters, the fellowship is part-time; over the summer, it is full-time for all or half of the summer, with sessions lasting 8 to 12 weeks.
Fellows conduct research and writing across the firm's core themes. Past fellows have analyzed accelerator landscapes, researched venture capital investment in cleantech, written on moral hazards and returns in venture capital, explored sustainable food production, examined the impact of behavioral change on climate, and assessed the corporate environmental landscape. This research directly informs Amasia's investment thesis and is often published on the firm's blog.
