Avaana backs early‑stage technology companies catalysing climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience, focusing on energy transition, mobility & supply chains, resource management, sustainable agriculture, food systems and industrial decarbonisation.
How long is the fellowship?
Six to twelve months, negotiated before start.
Is it a full‑time role?
Workload is project‑based; hours are agreed with your mentor but expect a professional‑level commitment.
Where is it based?
Mumbai, with occasional travel to ecosystem events in other Indian cities.
Do I need prior VC experience?
Not mandatory; exposure to startups, consulting or impact sectors is valued.
Is the fellowship paid?
Yes, Avaana provides a stipend/salary (exact figures not public).
How do I apply?
Submit the Google Form plus CV; selected candidates complete an interview and short task.
What skills are most important?
Stakeholder management, clear writing, analytical thinking and a passion for climate solutions.
Can international candidates apply?
The programme currently focuses on candidates with existing right‑to‑work in India.
Will I work on live deals?
You will support partnership and communication deliverables and may sit in on diligence discussions.
What happens after completion?
Graduates join Avaana’s alumni network and often transition into venture, climate‑tech startups or impact consulting roles.
