Path Ahead Ventures is REI Co-op's diversity-focused accelerator program designed to accelerate success for founders of color. Launched in 2021, the initiative channels the power and passion of the outdoor industry—providing mentorship, infrastructure, customer connections, and capital investment to underrepresented entrepreneurs building innovative outdoor solutions.

The program focuses on empowering founders historically underrepresented in venture capital by leveraging outdoor industry resources to support their growth and success.
The program is open to early-stage entrepreneurs from diverse communities, focusing on those building outdoor solutions.
Path Ahead Ventures provides equity investments in portfolio companies and grant funding for eligible program participants.
There is no cost to participate in the program.
The Embark program is a 3-month intensive, while the Navigate program lasts 9 months.
The program requires a part-time commitment from participants over its duration.
The program is conducted virtually, allowing participants to engage from anywhere.
