New Enterprise Associates (NEA) operates a selective fellowship program designed to introduce exceptional undergraduate and recent graduate students to the venture capital investment process. The NEA Fellowship provides hands-on experience in deal sourcing, company evaluation, and investment decision-making—core competencies in modern venture capital.

The NEA Fellowship aims to build a talent pipeline for aspiring venture capitalists, providing them with hands-on experience and exposure to the investment process, thereby enhancing their credibility in the field.
The fellowship is open to current undergraduate students graduating Spring 2026 or after, with a demonstrated interest in venture capital and strong analytical and communication skills.
All fellows receive a stipend designed to offset opportunity costs, competitive with peer VC fellowships.
The fellowship does not require any cost to participants.
The fellowship is structured for flexibility, requiring approximately 1 day per week engagement with the NEA team, allowing compatibility with full-time studies or employment.
The program requires a part-time commitment of approximately 1 day per week.
