The Darden Venture Fellows Program provides first-year MBA students with a ten-week summer internship experience at leading venture capital firms and high-potential portfolio companies. This program recognizes the need for early immersion in professional venture environments, placing MBAs in top-tier VC firms and portfolio companies to gain hands-on project experience while building networks and inspiring post-MBA venture careers. The program serves as an accelerated onboarding to venture capital industry practices, founder networks, and investment decision-making processes.

The Darden Venture Fellows Program aims to immerse MBA students in the venture capital ecosystem, providing them with the necessary skills and networks to succeed in venture careers. It focuses on placing students in top-tier VC firms and portfolio companies to gain practical experience and mentorship.
Eligibility is limited to first-year Darden MBA students in good standing. A competitive application process is required, including interview rounds for qualified finalists.
Participants receive an $8,000 stipend from the Batten Institute, with participating VC firms expected to match or exceed this amount.
There is no cost to participants for the program.
The program runs for ten weeks during the summer, from Memorial Day through the second week of August.
The program requires a full-time commitment during the ten-week internship period.
The program requires in-person participation at the selected VC firms and portfolio companies.
