Foresite Capital Fellows

The Foresite Fellows program is a dual-track, 12-week paid internship from Foresite Capital and its sister venture creation incubator, Foresite Labs. The program targets advanced graduate students interested in biotech and healthcare innovation, providing exposure to both venture capital deal sourcing and venture creation activities.

The fellowship sits inside Foresite's healthcare and life sciences thesis: identify and build companies using biology, data science, and deep technical expertise to address major unmet healthcare needs.

Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in biotech and healthcare innovation and be prepared for a rigorous, immersive experience.

Applicants were expected to be enrolled in PhD, MD, MD/MBA, MD/PhD, or postdoctoral fellowship programs, with preference for candidates available for full-time employment by September 2022. Foresite also said it was particularly seeking diverse perspectives and unconventional thinking.

The original announcement used a public application link and asked qualified graduate, medical, dual-degree, and postdoctoral candidates to apply for a 12-week paid position.

Fellows received paid, part-time exposure to biotech venture capital and venture creation. The Foresite Capital track offered mentorship from senior investment-team members, while the Foresite Labs track offered mentorship from senior company-creation team members.

The program typically operates on annual cycles with application windows in the fall for spring/summer start dates.

Fellows who demonstrate strong fit often transition to analyst or associate roles at Foresite Capital or join Foresite Labs portfolio companies.
