Fellowship
The AVPN Impact Investing Fellowship is a flagship professional development program designed by the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) in partnership with ESADE Business School's Centre for Social Impact. The fellowship seeks to build a new generation of impact investors across Asia who possess both the technical skills and values alignment required to deploy capital toward social and environmental outcomes.
AVPN is the apex network for impact investing and philanthropy across Asia, with member organizations spanning family offices, private equity and venture capital funds, foundations, and institutional investors. The fellowship recognizes a critical gap in Asia's capital markets: while billions flow through traditional venture capital and private equity channels, the talent pool trained explicitly in impact investing frameworks remains limited. The program targets professionals with capital allocation responsibility or influence, including family office principals and directors, private equity and venture capital fund managers, and foundation directors.
The curriculum blends three learning modalities: async/pre-work learning materials; synchronous virtual sessions providing conceptual frameworks, case studies, and guest expert input; and intensive in-person convening in Tokyo where fellows engage in peer learning, workshops, and strategic network-building.
