Venture for Climatetech Fellowship

Venture For ClimateTech is a non-profit global accelerator for early-stage climate and deep-tech innovators. The program provides initial funding and hands-on support, helping founders reach first customers, pilot runs, and investment readiness. Each selected company receives up to $50,000 in non-dilutive funding, intensive founder coaching, and access to a peer community.

Venture For ClimateTech aims to accelerate early-stage climate technologies with substantial greenhouse-gas reduction potential globally and in New York State. The program emphasizes decarbonization in buildings, transportation, grid, and industry.

Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate their commitment to climate technology and highlight their unique perspectives.

The program is open to early-stage climate technology founders worldwide, who must demonstrate how their solution aligns with New York State's climate goals. It particularly encourages applications from underrepresented founders.

Applications for Cohort 6 were open from January 5 to February 20, 2026. Teams are evaluated based on carbon-reduction potential, market opportunity, founder coachability, and fit with New York State opportunities.

Participants receive up to $50,000 in non-dilutive funding, intensive coaching, mentor-driven education, investor introductions, and access to a supportive community. The program culminates in an in-person investor showcase during Climate Week NYC.

The program is structured as a three-phase, six-month immersive experience, requiring a time commitment of 8-12 hours per week.

The accelerator has successfully supported numerous early-stage climate technology founders, with alumni collectively raising over $156 million in follow-on funding.
