HAX (formerly HAXLR8R) is the world's first and most active pre-seed program specializing in hard tech and deep tech startups. Operated by SOSV, HAX has evolved from its founding in Shenzhen (2011) into a global network supporting founders tackling physics-based, chemistry-based, and materials challenges at industrial scale.
The program prioritizes startups with real-world prototypes and customer insights, not just software concepts. With more than 257 companies graduated and recent success from Newark operations generating $60M+ in VC funding and 160+ jobs created, HAX maintains a hands-on, engineering-first philosophy.
