Fellowship
Battery Ventures is a technology and software-focused venture capital firm managing over $13 billion of invested capital across offices in Boston, San Francisco, Menlo Park, New York City, Tel Aviv, and London. The Battery Ventures Fellowship program, also known as the Battery Ventures Externship Program, provides undergraduate students interested in venture capital with hands-on experience in the VC industry.
The program operates as a part-time, remote opportunity designed specifically for tech-focused undergraduate students seeking to gain practical venture capital experience. The structure combines weekly curriculum sessions with mentorship from Battery principals, allowing participants to explore the fundamentals of venture investing while maintaining their academic commitments.
The externship serves as a pipeline into Battery's more intensive summer internship program. Battery actively hires full-time summer and off-cycle interns directly from the externship cohort, which feeds into the firm's analyst program. This creates a structured progression for high-performing participants who wish to pursue venture capital as a career path.
