VC Unlocked: Silicon Valley is 500 Global's flagship venture education program, created in collaboration with the Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education. Launched in 2015, the program is an exclusive, invite-only two-week immersive experience held on the Stanford University campus. It combines 500 Global's extensive industry expertise with Stanford's academic rigor and innovative teaching methods.
The program uses a project-based teaching methodology that emphasizes real-world application. Over two weeks, participants engage with Stanford faculty and 500 Global partners in interactive sessions covering fund structure, deal evaluation, portfolio management, LP relations, and the operational mechanics of running a venture capital firm. The curriculum is designed for practicing investors looking to sharpen their skills rather than newcomers to the field.
