Bootcamp
Baby VC is a venture capital training and community organization founded in 2019 by Eleonore Serge, Mehdi Benjelloun, and Nicolas Dessus with the mission to demystify and democratize the European venture capital industry. The organization addresses a critical gap in the VC ecosystem: the difficulty of breaking into venture capital without insider connections or institutional access.
The flagship 10-week bootcamp meets in-person for 2 hours every Wednesday evening (Tuesdays in the DACH region), creating an intensive but manageable commitment for working professionals and students. Each cohort consists of 20-30 fellows per regional hub, fostering intimate cohort dynamics while maintaining scale across Baby VC's expanding European footprint.
The curriculum spans 10 masterclasses designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to venture capital from first principles through practical application. Topics include fund building fundamentals, the venture capital lifecycle, company funding dynamics, sourcing and screening methodologies, due diligence frameworks for both early-stage and growth-stage investments, deal closing mechanics and term sheet negotiation, value creation post-investment, and exit strategies.
