Chevron Studio is an entrepreneurship program in partnership with Chevron Technology Ventures and the National Laboratory of the Rockies. The program supports experienced entrepreneurs interested in starting new companies around Chevron-curated intellectual property developed at partner universities and national laboratories. It provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to develop lower carbon technologies sourced from national laboratories and universities and transform them into thriving, commercially viable startup companies. The program combines access to curated intellectual property, business development support, technical expertise, and potential market opportunities.

Chevron Studio focuses on supporting experienced entrepreneurs in commercializing deep technology innovations in energy, materials, and industrial sectors. The program aims to transform lower carbon technologies into commercially viable startups by leveraging Chevron-curated intellectual property and providing extensive support throughout the development process.
The program is designed for experienced U.S.-based entrepreneurs with an interest in starting a company around Chevron-curated IP. Applicants must commit to a multi-phase development program and have previous entrepreneurial or business leadership experience preferred.
The program operates through three distinct phases:
Phase 1 - Discovery Phase: Evaluate selected intellectual property from partner labs/universities, develop business plans, and validate assumptions.
Phase 2 - Scale-Up Phase (12-24 months): Form company around selected technology, scale technology, and prepare for next phase advancement.
Phase 3 - Field Trial Phase: Conduct field trials at Chevron or related facility and prepare for full commercialization.
