Scout Program
Allied Venture Partners launched its Venture Scout Program in January 2025, offering carry opportunities for qualified scouts who source quality deals. The program is designed as an accessible entry point into venture capital deal sourcing, with a notably low barrier to participation: scouts do not need to be accredited investors to join.
The carry structure works as follows: scouts receive 20% of their carry on the first deal they source that leads to an investment. To illustrate, if Allied invests $100,000 into a company a scout helped identify, the scout receives carry equivalent to a $4,000 investment in that company. This means scouts benefit from the upside of successful investments without putting up capital of their own.
The program is deliberately lightweight in its referral process. Scouts are not asked for rigorous, in-depth analysis; they simply provide high-level details about the company, how they met the founders, and why they find the opportunity compelling. Allied handles the deep diligence and investment process from there.
The target scout profile includes entrepreneurs, angel investors, startup operators, and ecosystem builders: anyone who proactively identifies high-potential startups and can make warm introductions. The program positions itself as a way for scouts to build track records, earn carried interest, and receive mentorship as they develop venture capital skills.
