The Turner Impact Portfolio Challenge is a prestigious year-long graduate student competition focused on ESG investing and impact measurement. Produced by the Impact, Value, and Sustainable Business Initiative at Wharton School of Business, the program trains the next generation of impact-focused capital allocators. Participants develop and manage investment portfolios while adhering to ESG criteria, culminating in a final pitch presentation to industry professionals.

The Turner Impact Portfolio Challenge aims to cultivate the next generation of impact investors by providing a platform for graduate students to engage in ESG investing and impact measurement. It connects emerging professionals with industry leaders, raising standards for impact measurement in institutional capital.
The competition is open to full-time graduate students from U.S. universities. Teams of 3-5 students must be from the same university and can apply through the program's website.
Participants do not receive any financial compensation for their involvement in the program.
There is no cost to participate in the Turner Impact Portfolio Challenge.
The competition runs for a year, with continuous assessment and final pitch presentations at the end of the academic year.
Participants engage part-time throughout the academic year, balancing their competition work with their graduate studies.
The competition includes in-person pitch presentations at Wharton, fostering direct engagement with industry professionals.
