Amplitude Ventures Fellowship

The Amplitude Fellowship is a paid, full-time summer fellowship run by Amplitude Ventures and its biotech venture creation studio Pre-Amp for life-sciences PhD candidates, postdocs, MDs, and inventors who want to explore venture creation rather than a traditional academic path. The program brings fellows together for one-month explorations that turn scientific observations into hypotheses for new healthcare and biotechnology ventures.

The Amplitude Ventures Fellowship focuses on company creation rather than traditional fund investing. It targets health-focused PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and MDs, aiming to identify scientific opportunities that could become the basis for new companies. The program addresses the need for alternative career paths for academics in the healthcare sector.

Designed for Researchers, Students, Builders, Founders. The program is in person. Participation is generally full time.

Ongoing or completed MD training, PhD, or postdoctoral research with a focus on life sciences or healthcare. Must be within one year of completing academic training or ready for employment. Canadian universities actively promote the program.

The fellowship runs for approximately 3 months, from late May through August.
