Fellowship
Young African Catalysts (YAC) created the Aspiring YAC VC Fellowship to help young professionals break into Africa’s venture‑capital industry.
The inaugural eight‑week programme is taught by practicing investors from YAC’s invite‑only community and combines bi‑weekly online lectures with hands‑on deal work drawn directly from YAC’s scouting arm and its forthcoming seed fund. Modules cover pitch‑deck analysis, financial modelling, valuation techniques and founder‑relationship etiquette.
Fellows complete deliverables tied to live investments, gaining practical experience and exposure to YAC’s internal investment committees. On graduation, selected Fellows receive three‑month internships at partner VC funds, with the possibility of full‑time offers thereafter.
