The Black Venture Institute (BVI) is an intensive, 10-day educational program designed to equip Black operators and executives with foundational venture capital knowledge and skills to become angel investors, scouts, and venture capitalists. The program addresses systemic barriers in venture capital by providing structured education, industry mentorship, and peer community building.

The Black Venture Institute aims to address the access, education, and community gaps faced by Black professionals in venture capital. By providing a structured educational experience and mentorship, the program seeks to empower participants to become successful investors and contribute to a more diverse venture ecosystem.
The program is open to Black operators and executives with any professional background. No specific VC experience is required, but applicants must be able to commit 4 hours per day for 10 days and be comfortable with online synchronous learning.
The program does not provide any financial compensation to participants.
There is no cost to participate in the program.
The program lasts for 10 days, with sessions held online for 4 hours each day.
Participants are expected to commit 4 hours per day for the duration of the program.
The program is conducted entirely online, allowing participants to engage from anywhere in the U.S.
