CDL Neuro Stream

The Neuro Stream at Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Toronto brings together entrepreneurs, scientists and investors working on neurodegenerative disorders, neuroprosthetics, brain-computer interfaces, neurodevelopment and cognitive modeling. CDL is a non-profit program founded at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.

Startups work with mentors (entrepreneurs, operators, angel and venture investors, scientists and economists) who meet every eight weeks in Toronto or virtually, across five objective-setting sessions between October and June. Neuro companies also get guidance on regulatory approval, neurodata, clinical trial planning and business models for neurotech devices and therapeutics. Focus areas include drug development for brain health, gene editing and gene therapy for neurodegenerative disease, and regenerative medicine.

CDL charges no fees and takes no equity. People quoted on the stream page include a Neuralink project director (as a mentor), AlphaCog and Oxford Brain Diagnostics.

Founders with novel innovations in neuroscience, from pre-incorporation projects to early venture or growth-stage companies; startups at all levels of maturity are considered. Companies from around the world can apply to any CDL location.
