The Angel Capital Association (ACA) is the professional association for angel investors in North America. The Ann and Bill Payne ACA Angel University is the organization's flagship educational program, offering a modular curriculum covering the full lifecycle of angel investing.
The program offers two certificate tracks: the Core of Angel Investing Certificate (6 courses) covering the fundamentals of the asset class, and the Advanced Angel Investing Certificate (11 courses) for deeper specialization. Course content spans deal flow and screening, due diligence, term sheets, valuation, post-investment management, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, and startup valuation methodologies. The curriculum addresses the impact of development stage, geographic location, business sector, and macroeconomic conditions on startup valuation.
Sessions are available in multiple formats: instructor-led half-day programs with qualified lead instructors and self-delivered curriculum options using ACA's tools. Both on-demand and scheduled live online sessions are offered, making the program accessible to angel investors across the United States.
The ACA Angel University is one of the most established angel investing education programs in the U.S. and serves as a credentialing mechanism within the angel community.
