Overview
American University supports entrepreneurship through the Kogod School of Business's Veloric Center for Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship courses are housed in Kogod's Department of Management and are open across the university through a specialization, minor, and electives.
The AU Business Incubator supports student and recent-alumni founders of for-profit and nonprofit ventures with mentorship, educational programming, workspace, networking, resources, and non-dilutive grants. Kogod also runs student competitions and participates in the Venture Capital Investment Competition, where students evaluate real companies and prepare and negotiate term sheets.
