The Native American Venture Fund (NAVF) and Native American Capital and Investment Alliance (NACIA) work in complementary ways to support Native American investment and economic development. NAVF operates as a for-profit impact investment fund, while NACIA provides dedicated emerging manager support and mentoring for Native capital professionals. NAVF partners with Native American Tribal Corporations to leverage tribal economic and legal advantages in developing sustainable tribal business enterprises.
The Native American Venture Fund aims to address the historical underrepresentation of Native Americans in venture capital and asset management by providing support and resources to emerging Native capital managers. This initiative seeks to empower Native American leaders to participate in capital allocation decisions and foster economic self-determination within tribal communities.
