Who it is for

The 2026 FAQ required a validated solution ready to scale, with a completed clinical pilot involving at least 50 patients living with cancer. It also specified at least 10 full-time employees or equivalent and a designated liaison to engage with the selection team. Applicants’ digital solutions had to relate directly to one of four theme areas, according to the FAQ.

Admissions and application

The 2026 application window opened September 9, 2025, and the official guide set a final submission deadline of October 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET. The FAQ scheduled Pitch Days for advancing applicants on November 14 and 21, 2025, and said those who advanced would complete a supplemental application. Acceptance required strong interest from at least two champions. The 2026 application page linked to an application form, but its destination could not be read.

How to go about it

  1. Read what it asks for

Who can apply, how people get in and whether it is open right now.

  2. Have something to show

Programs pick people whose work they can already point to. Put yours where it can be found.

  3. Apply the way the program asks

The program has not published how to apply. Terms and dates change. Check the official page before you act.

What it pays

CancerX’s historical intake promotion stated that there was no application fee and that the accelerator took no equity. The evidence does not establish other participation costs or a stipend.

No. The current official page places the 2026 cohort under alumni and advertises a separate 2027 intake; that later intake does not reopen the 2026 cohort.
