Programs, grants, investors, and communities are different tools

Choose the route that matches the constraint in front of you instead of treating every ecosystem organization as generic support.

In this guide

An investor exchanges capital for a financial relationship. A grant usually has an eligibility and reporting framework. A program combines a time-bound experience with some mix of learning, access, services, community, or capital. A community primarily creates repeated relationships and shared context.

Name the constraint first

If the problem is runway, a community introduction may not solve it. If the problem is customer discovery, an investor list may be premature. If the problem is credibility in a new market, the right program or local institution may be more useful than capital today.

Compare each option against the outcome, cost, timing, eligibility, and evidence you need. The label is only a starting point.
