National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC)

The National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC) was established in November 2002 and became operational in late 2004. It is a fully owned subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) and is based in Kuwait. NTEC was created to address the technology needs of major stakeholders in Kuwait, operating with a capital of 100 million Kuwaiti Dinars (approximately 350 million U.S. dollars). The organization focuses on technology and knowledge transfer across various sectors, investing in Information & Communications Technologies, Life Sciences & Healthcare Technologies, Energy, Renewable Energy, and Water & Environmental Technologies. NTEC aims to develop high-tech specialized projects to diversify the national economy and enhance the technical skills of nationals.

NTEC adds value to its portfolio companies through strategic partnerships, technology transfer, and advisory services, aiming to enhance the technical capabilities of Kuwaiti nationals and support the development of high-tech projects.
