Kandiyohi County Economic Development (KCED) is a public organization based in Willmar, Minnesota, established in 2014. It focuses on fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life in the Kandiyohi County area. With a small team of 2-10 employees, KCED collaborates with local governments, private industries, and community organizations to support business retention, expansion, recruitment, and workforce development. KCED's mission is to provide resources and strategies that promote success for the local business community. The organization hosts various events, including public meetings and sessions on entrepreneurship and personal development. It also engages in community development initiatives and offers tailored solutions to support business growth, such as strategic insights and economic planning. Key leadership includes Executive Director Barbara Carr and Development Manager Sheri Wegner, who work to connect businesses with essential resources and opportunities.

The Greenhouse is a key resource in St. Petersburg for entrepreneurs and small business owners, providing education, resources, and support to help them succeed in the local economy. Operated through a partnership between the City of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, it is located in the historic Manual Training School building. The Greenhouse was rebranded in 2013 to foster economic development in the region. The Greenhouse offers a variety of services, including free and low-cost workshops, business consulting, mentorship, and technical assistance. It coordinates local business initiatives and grant programs to help businesses access funding opportunities. Signature programs include the Entrepreneurial Academy®, an eight-week course on business fundamentals, and 1 Million Cups, a weekly networking event for entrepreneurs. The Greenhouse aims to support the growth of St. Petersburg's small business community and contribute to the local economy.
