a16z speedrun is the startup accelerator run by Andreessen Horowitz. It invests up to $1M per company ($500K for 10% on a SAFE upfront plus $500K in the next round within 18 months) and runs a 12-week in-person program in San Francisco that ends in a Demo Day. Since launching in 2023 it has funded more than 300 startups. a16z speedrun is the accelerator of Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). It runs two cohorts a year of a 12-week, full-time, in-person program in San Francisco that ends in a Demo Day for 1,000+ early-stage investors. The standard deal is $500K for 10% on a SAFE upfront plus another $500K in the company's next round within 18 months, with no board seat and no fee.
Beyond capital, speedrun offers more than $10M in partner credits, in-house recruiting, business development and marketing programs (Launch Lab, Brand Lab, Creator Connect, Press Club), a Global Founders Program for visas, banking and relocation, and the speedrun Talent Network for portfolio hiring. It also runs the speedrun Alpha Fellowship for students and recent graduates.
