What types of startups and scale-ups does PortXL Rotterdam list as eligible?
The program page lists separate profiles. Startup criteria include pre-Series A closing funding, an MVP or prototype ready or within six months of readiness, pre-revenue status, and a goal of product validation or finding first customers. Scale-up criteria include Series A funding or beyond, a product on the market or close to launch, and a product generating revenue, repeat customers, or recurring orders, as well as existing customers while seeking a soft landing in a new geography or industry. Both profiles include company-age and valuation criteria, and solutions should be relevant to port operations, maritime, energy, logistics, or dual-use defense.
What does the 2026 cohort program focus on?
Its three program weeks focus on market access, access to capital, and building a network of peers and mentors. PortXL says 2026 cohort founders work with its mentors; capital access is not a guarantee of investment.
