Overview

Future Climate Venture Studio supports startups addressing climate challenges. The official page identifies UConn, R/GA Ventures, and CT Next as collaborators. Its FAQ welcomes companies from pre-seed through Series B and invites companies later than Series B that believe they fit to contact the operator. It seeks multidimensional climate solutions focused on deep science and technology; participation in another accelerator is not disqualifying, though the FAQ prefers companies able to devote the required time.

The program advertises customized services from strategists, technologists, designers, and other consultants, plus introductions to executives and climate technology experts to develop business opportunities. It also advertises access to UConn core technology facilities and technical help from industry-funded centers at UConn's Innovation Partnership Building. The FAQ advertises capital investments by R/GA Ventures and select Studio Partners into each participating startup, with amounts and deal terms determined by the startup's stage and/or prior funding terms. Participation is advertised as free, and founders are not required to surrender a set amount of equity simply to participate.
