Pantera Capital

Pantera Capital is the first institutional investment firm focused exclusively on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the United States in 2013. The firm subsequently launched the first exclusively-blockchain venture fund. In 2017, Pantera was the first firm to offer an early-stage token fund. Pantera manages $3.5bn across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – exclusively focused on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera is hiring an Operations Analyst to assist with fund operations & automation. This role requires presence at least 3 days a week in our San Juan office. Responsibilities: Daily Books Run the morning position reconciliation: pull the breaks, sort each into timing, known standing item, or needs a look, and write up the ones that need a decision. Draft trade bookings for review: exchange and OTC fills, staking income, vesting unlocks and fees. Venture deals, token conversions and write-offs come later, once the routine bookings are second nature. Cash and Wires Tag and reconcile bank activity with Finance (about 1,000 rows a month). Match deal wires to their approvals, flag any wire that has not been booked, and draft wire approval requests for sign-off. Month-End and Audit Support the close: maintain the pricing checklist, chase and document mark sources, and prepare the tie-out to the fund administrator for review. Prepare and track annual audit confirmations with the auditors and counterparties. Automation and AI Use our AI coding agents every day. Review what they propose, and flag anything that looks wrong before it reaches the books. Write and maintain runbooks so every task can be repeated without help. With guidance, turn repeat steps into small Python and SQL scripts. Counterparties and Inbox Handle routine requests with custodians, prime brokers, trading venues and staking providers (statements, balance confirmations, address whitelisting), and escalate anything non-routine. Triage the shared operations inbox: route what needs action and file the rest. Qualifications: 0–2 years in fund operations, fund administration, audit, trading operations or a similar analyst role. Strong new graduates are welcome. Comfortable in Excel and able to write basic SQL queries. Some Python, or clear evidence that you pick up tools quickly. Careful with numbers. You check your own work before you hand it in. Clear, precise writing. You can explain a break in three sentences. A controls mindset. You ask before guessing, and you would rather flag something than "just book it to clear the rec." Interest in crypto: you have used a wallet, read a block explorer, or followed a token launch. Exposure to pandas, Jupyter or Git. Coursework or an internship in accounting, fund administration or audit. Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 USD* *Compensation range is provided as an estimate and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Mechanism Ventures

THE COMPANY Mechanism exists to build $10 billion in liquid enterprise value by December 2035 — our 10-in-10 mission. We get there by building or acquiring profitable companies and turning them into enterprises. Since 2019, we've launched and scaled 10 companies while driving $300M+ in revenue by treating company-building as an engineering problem. We combine rigorous validation, advanced analytics, and repeatable systems to dramatically increase the odds of success. A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO "At Mechanism, our goal is to generate $10B in liquid enterprise value over the next 10 years. We call it '10-in-10.' Level's next chapter is part of that mission. With PrimePutt, we've built a product golfers love, and we've taken the company to millions in revenue with tens of thousands of customers. The next stage is about expansion. I’m looking for a golf-obsessed leader to own Level end-to-end, grow profitability, and build the platform that turns Level into an enterprise. Someone who thinks from first principles, gets into the details, fails and learns faster than anyone around them, and turns customer insight into profitable growth. If you want real ownership, a high-trust partnership, and the chance to build something meaningful in a sport you love, let's talk." Breanden Beneschott, Mechanism Co-founder & CEO THE OPPORTUNITY Golfers will do almost anything to shave strokes. PrimePutt helps them put in the work at home, on the same surface PGA professionals use. It’s a product golfers love and recommend, with a loyal customer base and a growing owned audience. Over the past year and a half, we’ve strengthened the business behind it. The financials are clean, manufacturing is dialed in, and operations are built to scale. The foundation is in place. Now it’s time to see how far we can take it. Your mission is to turn Level into a highly profitable, growing golf company. You’ll own the whole business, including the P&L, product, growth, and the team. You’ll sit on the board and earn meaningful equity as you hit each milestone. You’ll set the direction for what Level makes, who it reaches, and where it invests. You won’t be starting from zero, and you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll inherit a proven product, an engaged audience, a PGA coach on staff, and a digital putting and training game already running competitions with one of the largest golf communities online. You’ll build alongside Mechanism’s experts across Growth, Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, People, Finance, and Legal. If you want to build a major company in golf, this is your shot. Build the golf company you’d want to buy from, and own a real piece of what you build. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You Have Three Core Missions 1. Expand the Growth Engine: Own strategy and hands-on execution across paid media, creative, lifecycle, and partnerships. Build an owned audience through useful golf content, training programs, and offers, then convert that audience into customers. Ship new creative weekly, improve landing pages and nurture sequences, and scale the approaches that drive profitable sales. 2. Drive Profitable Growth: Own Level’s financial performance. Plan cash and inventory around seasonal demand, improve margins across products and fulfillment, and make disciplined decisions about growth investment. Build a clear case for where additional capital can accelerate profitable growth, and track whether those investments deliver. 3. Expand the Product Line and Build the Team: Identify and launch complementary products that give customers more ways to buy from Level. Validate demand, margins, and inventory needs before scaling, and use your golf network to develop credible partnerships. Hire contractors and team members where they improve execution and support profitable growth. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE Core Requirements The right candidate will recognize themselves in the message above. This is a role for a golf-obsessed operator who can demonstrate the following: - Golf Obsession: You understand golf culture, how golfers practice, and what motivates them to buy. You can recognize credible instruction, create offers that resonate, and build relationships with coaches, creators, and golf communities. - Hands-On Growth Expertise: You've personally run paid media, especially Meta, built creative at volume, and scaled acquisition channels. You can set the strategy and do the work yourself. - DTC Physical Product Experience: You've grown a direct-to-consumer brand selling a physical product, ideally at a premium price point. - Financial Judgment: You understand how acquisition costs, margins, inventory, and operating expenses turn into cash, and you've made sound calls with a tight cash position. - Founder Mentality: You've built a business or owned meaningful outcomes at an early-stage company. You move fast, solve problems with limited resources, and own results. - AI-Native by Default: You use AI daily to accelerate analysis, creative, and execution, and you can point to solutions you've built and the results they produced. - Team Leadership: You've hired and led strong performers and know when hiring creates more value than doing the work yourself. WHAT TO EXPECT This role moves between strategy and execution every day. You'll make consequential decisions and personally do the work to deliver them. First 30 days: Take the handoff and set the plan - Complete Mechanism's CEO onboarding and growth training. - Complete the handoff with the current CEO, and build relationships with the team, contractors, and Mechanism's Practice Areas. - Evaluate existing campaigns, training offers, audience initiatives, and product tests. Identify what to scale, improve, or stop. - Read the Black Friday and holiday results: what sold, at what price, through which channels, and at what cost. - Partner with our product and operations team to design a weekly creative program shipping new ads, with fast and clear results. - Review unit economics, cash, inventory, and supplier obligations. By 60 days: Own the business and get the engine running - Take full responsibility for operations and financial performance. - Run a weekly operating cadence covering revenue, acquisition cost, margins, cash, inventory, and customer experience. - Fix any operational bottlenecks and decide where contractors, automation, or hiring will help. By 90 days: Show progress and plan the season - Show measurable progress toward three consecutive profitable months. - Scale what's working, and stop or revise what isn't. - Demonstrate which audience-building efforts are converting into product sales and contributing to profitability. - Present the spring season plan, including Father's Day, SKU expansion, investment priorities, and team needs. LOGISTICS Fully remote, full-time, with most of the workday overlapping US Eastern Time. Expected start is around January 2027, with a full handoff from the current CEO. Compensation includes a base salary and a significant equity stake. For candidates located in New York, Washington, Colorado, California, and Illinois, the base salary range is $180,000 to $220,000 USD. Compensation may vary depending on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

Growth Manager – AI-Native Consumer Brand Platform (Confidential) New York · Hybrid (NYC area) or remote with one working week per month in NYC · Full-time About the Company Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed startup building an AI General Manager for consumer brands. Starting a brand has become easier, but running and growing one is still hard. Founders have more tools, agencies, and channels than ever, yet they’re still the ones making the decisions and holding everything together. The company helps brands launch and grow in the US by understanding the whole business, identifying what matters next, and getting the work done across growth and operations. They’re building the software and AI workflows that let a small team do this for a growing number of brands. They started with international consumer brands entering the US, mostly beauty and CPG, and now also work with US brands facing the same challenges. Creator seeding is their largest revenue stream today, and D2C is being built into the next major growth driver. D2C helps brands prove demand, improve conversion and repeat purchase, and build the economics to support further growth, including retail. The company is backed by a top-tier venture accelerator, has a growing roster of signed brands with several already live, and is led by a small, founder-led team. The Role You’ll own D2C growth across the company’s merchant portfolio. You’ll start with roughly ten merchants at different stages of launch and growth, and the portfolio will expand as more brands go live. Working with the CEO on overall D2C direction, you’ll independently decide what each merchant should do next, why, and in what order, and then make it happen. Account Managers own the merchant relationship and overall account growth. You’ll work closely with them and with the creator and engineering teams, while owning D2C strategy, execution, and results. At the start, this is a deeply hands-on individual-contributor role. Meta is the core channel, with TikTok and creator-led content close behind, at roughly $1k/week per merchant to start. You’ll build and run the accounts, brief and test creative, improve landing pages, and own conversion. Where engineering is needed, you’ll turn the growth decision into a clear, testable spec and stay accountable until it works in production. The harder, more valuable part is turning what works into a system: scorecards, decision rules, AI workflows, automations, and product requirements that let one exceptional operator support a growing portfolio without proportional headcount. The mandate is simple: help merchants grow profitably, then make that success repeatable. What You’ll Do - Diagnose the real constraint on each merchant’s profitable D2C growth, quickly, in businesses you didn’t build - Prioritize growth time, budget, and engineering work across the portfolio based on each merchant’s stage and opportunity - Personally ship the highest-leverage work across acquisition, creative, conversion, offer, lifecycle, and retention - Build the merchant growth operating system: scorecards, prioritized backlogs, decision logs, weekly reviews, and simulations - Identify recurring workflows that should become software and give engineering clear requirements and acceptance criteria - Own performance against agreed merchant D2C sales targets and the revenue those sales generate for the company Your First 90 Days - Every active D2C merchant has an agreed growth plan: stage, primary constraint, 12-week target, next actions, and portfolio priority - At least two merchants have a repeatable acquisition or retention loop meeting agreed contribution-margin and payback targets - Every active D2C merchant runs through the same growth planning and review process - The three most valuable recurring workflows are documented as product requirements, with at least one live as an automation across three or more merchants Who You Are - 3+ years hands-on in paid social. Meta is your home platform, and you’re comfortable running TikTok and creator-driven campaigns - You’ve worked both sides: agency, juggling a book of accounts with competing priorities, and in-house at a DTC or CPG brand selling physical products - Creative-led: you brief creators, cut ads, test hooks, and own the landing page, not just optimize bids - You understand account structure, creative testing, measurement, and how to make decisions with limited budgets - You think in systems and reach for AI and automation by default; you can articulate what a tool or agent should do even if you don’t build it - You’ve operated inside small companies (under 200 people) and are comfortable making calls with incomplete data Nice to Have - Beauty, skincare, or Asia-to-US brand experience - TikTok Shop, affiliate, or creator program experience - AEO/GEO or SEO - Built something from zero to one before Location Hybrid in NYC if you’re local. If you’re outside the New York area, remote with one required working week per month in the NYC office, with travel and lodging covered. Compensation and Benefits - Base salary: $200,000 - Equity: 2.00% stock options (founding-level ownership) - Performance bonus: 1% of total platform net collected D2C revenue, paid annually, uncapped - Health insurance, company equipment and remote-work support, and flexible PTO with a minimum of 15 days off per year

Company Description In 2019, we started building profitable startups from scratch. We brought together top engineering minds from places like Princeton and MIT to drive the highest success rate in the industry and turn company building into a science. During that time, we’ve built ten high-growth companies, driving $200M+ in revenue. Along the way, we’ve developed an engineering approach to entrepreneurship rooted in algorithms and advanced mathematics. Now, we’re working to automate company building to the point that we can press a button to launch profitable companies—ventures that can reinvest their own resources to become enterprises that help millions, or even billions, of people. Position Description The Operations Engineering (OE) team is a cross-functional team that builds and maintains the systems, automations, and workflows powering our portfolio companies. OEs are paired directly with Mission Leaders as high-context operators, building a deep understanding of their business and owning initiatives that move it forward. OEs also deploy specialized skills across companies as demand shifts, bringing their domain expertise wherever it creates the most impact. As an Operations Engineer, you are expected to operate comfortably in high-context environments, with the ability to understand complex problems and design cross-platform systems that connect people, data, and tools. You are a versatile contributor who can both support fellow Operations Engineers and independently lead owned projects from definition through execution. You integrate seamlessly into an established multidisciplinary team, collaborating across a wide range of skill sets and responsibilities spanning the company. This is a role for someone who is energized by variety, comfortable in ambiguity, and driven to build things that create lasting leverage for the teams they support. What You’ll Do Deliver Reliable, High-Quality Work - Execute clearly scoped tasks and projects with a high standard for quality, following team conventions and established patterns. - Learn the Mechanism OS—understand not just how work gets done, but why decisions are made the way they are. - Communicate proactively: share progress, flag blockers early, and confirm assumptions before investing significant time. Adopt a Skill Domain and Operate Within the OE Capability Stack - Build and maintain structured data models, clean datasets, and develop automated workflows using tools like Google Apps Script, N8N, and Make. - Support the creation of data pipelines, write SQL queries to extract and transform data, and assist in building dashboards in Looker, Metabase, or Periscope. - Integrate AI tools and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Klaviyo) into existing workflows to automate repetitive processes and unlock operational efficiency. - Build and iterate on web pages, product landing pages, and UI components using Webflow, Replo, Shopify Builder, and React/Tailwind as needed. - Plan, execute, and manage paid media and SEO initiatives in support of growth experiments, including campaign setup, performance monitoring, and iterative optimization across channels. - Extract, structure, and clean data from web sources to support research, competitive analysis, and operational initiatives using Octoparse and scripting tools. - Take on ad-hoc operational, administrative, and research tasks that reduce bottlenecks and enable stakeholders to stay focused on their core work. Grow Into Ownership and Domain Specialization - Progress from executing scoped tasks with guidance to independently owning end-to-end projects. - Independently diagnose recurring operational problems, design the underlying solution, and build durable automations, playbooks, or workflows that permanently eliminate manual work—for yourself and your teammates. - Deepen expertise in a primary domain and develop enough fluency in a secondary domain to provide cross-team support. - Build the judgment to know when to escalate, when to proceed, and when to ask—at every level. Who You Are - You are resourceful and adapt quickly in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, operating as a self-starter who helps build the playbook through curiosity, sound judgment, and a growth mindset. - You bring extreme grit, integrity, resilience, and relentless follow-through—you don’t drop the ball. - You are humble and genuine, never afraid to ask for help, seek feedback, or seriously consider perspectives different from your own, and you engage with others in an enthusiastic, professional manner. - You are energized by the work itself, thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments and taking ownership of initiatives from start to finish. - You hold yourself to a high standard without ego—we have a strict no-jerk policy and zero tolerance for intellectual arrogance. - You are intellectually honest and grounded in data, prioritizing truth over ego and viewing direct feedback as the fastest path to better decisions and outcomes. - You maintain a high say/do ratio, taking extreme ownership of your commitments and consistently delivering work to a high standard without the need for follow-up. - You approach every task with a test-and-learn mindset, always looking for ways to improve, adapt, and add value. What You’ll Bring - Strong analytical thinking, data literacy, and comfort working with data in spreadsheets or databases. - Strong foundational proficiency within at least one skills domain of the Operations Engineering capability stack, with the ability to operate effectively across adjacent domains as needed. - Familiarity with at least one automation or workflow tool (N8N, Make, Zapier, or similar). - Basic-to-intermediate proficiency in Spreadsheets or SQL, or a demonstrated ability to develop it quickly. - Exposure to AI tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalents) and an intuition for where they can be applied. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills—clear, concise, and context-aware. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines without constant oversight. Nice to Have - Experience with frontend tools such as Webflow, Replo, React, or Shopify Builder. - Proficiency in data visualization platforms (Looker, Metabase, Periscope, or similar). - Hands-on experience with web scraping tools or scripting (Octoparse, Python, etc.). - Background in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. - Experience supporting startup or venture environments. TIME COMMITMENT - This role is full-time and will need to overlap with US ET for the majority of the workday. LOCATION - We are fully remote – you can work wherever you’re most productive. PLACEMENT - Placement may be within the core Operations Engineering team or directly within a portfolio company, depending on organizational needs.

About Us HeySunday is on a mission to make cleaning easier, and better for the planet. We sell innovative, space-saving alternatives to traditional cleaning products, including our signature laundry detergent sheets, dryer sheets, dishwasher sheets, and more. We believe that keeping a home clean should be simple, convenient, and low-waste, and we're building a brand that makes sustainable choices feel effortless for everyday households. The Role You drive growth at HeySunday. You are a growth generalist. You are strong across the whole engine, acquisition, conversion, and retention, and you know that the best next win is not always the obvious one. You will set the strategy, run the experiments, understand the math, and make the calls on where we push, where we cut, and what we try next. You will partner closely with HeySunday's GM, who comes from a growth and performance background and stays involved on growth strategy, so you should be someone who can take an idea from start to finish with limited oversight, name what you need, and challenge the plan when you disagree. This is not a role for someone who wants to stay high-level and hand the work to others. It is for someone who wants to sit at the center of the growth engine, stay close to the work, and have real impact. What You Own You are accountable for: - HeySunday's full growth engine, including strategy, prioritization, and outcomes - SKU expansion, from finding new product opportunities to taking them to market and actually selling them - Retention and lifecycle growth for a subscription business - Non-paid growth across channels like affiliate, partnerships, referral, brand, and product-led motions - CRO across landing pages and funnels - Paid acquisition strategy and execution - The growth model that defines assumptions, targets, and constraints - Profitable revenue measured in LTV, contribution margin, CAC payback, and ROAS You are not responsible for: - Inventory management - Cash management or P&L ownership - Customer support - General operations - Managing a large team. You will coordinate with teammates and lean on Mechanism's operating experts and shared specialist teams, but this is not a heavy people-management role What You'll Do - Own the growth roadmap across acquisition, conversion, and retention, in partnership with HeySunday's GM - Lead SKU expansion end-to-end: research and prioritize new products, then build the go-to-market to sell them - Drive retention and lifecycle growth for a subscription business, improving LTV rather than optimizing for AOV alone - Build non-paid channels such as affiliate, partnerships, referral, brand, and product-led growth - Set paid acquisition strategy, spin up quick tests, and audit outside work to a high bar. You can get into the accounts when it matters, but you do not need to live there - Run a high-cadence testing program. Dig into customer and product insight to find the non-obvious wins, double down on what works, and kill what doesn't - Build and own HeySunday's growth model and reporting layer - Ship landing pages, creative, and funnel changes faster than any in-house team could on its own - Use AI and automation to compress cycle time and drive growth with a lean team - Codify what works into reusable playbooks, scripts, and automations that compound across the portfolio - Provide clear, written updates on results, learnings, and blockers on Mechanism's standard cadence Who You Are You are likely a fit if you: - Have driven growth by identifying and pulling the most effective levers across paid media, brand, retention, product, and more - Look for the non-obvious win. You would rather talk to ten customers and act on what you learn than reach for the easy lever - Understand subscription economics and think in LTV, retention, and contribution margin, not just AOV - Are comfortable with paid acquisition, enough to run a test or audit an agency and have a real opinion, even if it is not your single strongest skill - Have done this at mid-sized companies and want more autonomy than your current seat gives you - Can take something from start to finish without much input, and know how to name what you need - Think in systems, not just campaigns - Are comfortable making clear calls with imperfect information Experience Required - 6+ years driving growth in DTC or e-commerce, across more than one channel - Track record of profitable growth through non-paid channels such as affiliate, brand, referral, product-led growth, or new-product go-to-market - Experience with subscription or recurring-revenue businesses, and fluency in LTV and retention - Working familiarity with Google Ads and Meta Ads, enough to run a test or audit outside work. Deep paid expertise is a plus, not a requirement - Hands-on experience with SKU or product testing, landing page optimization, and CRO - Technical fluency: you're building in Claude Code / Cowork, have used GA4, built living dashboards, or shipped scripts to automate parts of your workflow - First-principles thinking and a bias to action, where you ship in hours and days, not weeks - Strong written communication and an instinct for tight, evidence-based reporting Time Commitment This role is full-time and will need to overlap with US ET for the majority of the workday. It is an exciting opportunity that demands a level of dedication beyond the standard 9 to 5. We need someone who's willing to go above and beyond to help us achieve our ambitious goals, and who's eager to put in the effort to make a real impact. Location US-Based - Fully remote. Compensation Our compensation packages are designed to make this your dream job for the short and long term. Each compensation package is tailored to suit your priorities and can include base, equity in the companies we help build, and performance bonus based on the success of our portfolio companies. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and an unlimited time off policy with a two-week minimum.

ABOUT THINKING MACHINES The mission of Thinking Machines is to build AI that extends human will and judgment. We are training frontier models with Inkling, developing Tinker to let people make models their own, and crafting interfaces that broaden human-AI communication. We believe the future worth building is human, and we're hiring people who want to build it. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an engineer to help manage how data is handled across Thinking Machines: what we collect and acquire, where it is stored, who and what systems can access it, how long we keep it, and how it's used in training, evaluation, and products. You'll help build the systems that let us protect privacy and make definitive statements about our practices from data inventory and classification through access and purpose controls to retention, deletion, and audit. You'll also collaborate closely with researchers and product engineers to answer privacy questions that don’t have textbook answers. This is a role for someone who knows privacy deeply and treats it as an engineering problem rather than a checklist. The questions we face are rarely settled by policy alone: what it means to honor a deletion request against a trained model; how customers' fine-tuning data on Tinker should be isolated, never commingled, and only used for the customer; when to deidentify data (and how) vs. apply differential privacy to it. We want someone who can weigh privacy against model quality, research velocity, and product usefulness, pick a defensible answer, and then build it. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Implement and enforce privacy and data governance across internal systems day to day by building systems like data classification tagging, retention jobs, deletion pipelines, and data classifiers and integrating them across systems at Thinking Machines. - Build the isolation guarantees that keep customer and user data separate and protected, including the training data customers bring to Tinker and the conversations people have with our interfaces. - Run privacy reviews and threat models on new data sources, training runs, and product features, and close them out by shipping the control, the check, or the tooling, not only a recommendation. - Translate legal and policy requirements (GDPR, CCPA, contractual commitments) into working code: policy-as-code, CI checks, and pipeline enforcement, built and maintained by you. - Maintain shared libraries and guardrails that make the private path the default, and fix them when they break or fall out of date. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Built and shipped at least one production privacy or data governance system (retention/deletion pipeline, policy evaluation engine, data cataloging and/or lineage system, consent system, or similar) and owned it through to operation, not just design. - Written and operated production code in Python or a comparable language, evidenced by a system you can walk through in detail: what it does, how it fails, how you debugged it. - Direct experience with enforcing privacy or governing data in an AI/ML data pipeline (training data, fine-tuning, inference, or evaluation) and can describe a specific privacy risk you identified or mitigated in one of these systems. - Has chosen pragmatic controls over ideal ones on real systems, and can describe what was shipped as a result. - Has written a technical requirement or control directly from a legal or policy obligation (GDPR, CCPA, or similar), and can name the obligation and the control. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience at an AI lab or with ML infrastructure: training data curation, multi-tenant fine-tuning platforms, or inference systems that handle user data. - Has implemented a privacy-enhancing technique (deidentification, differential privacy, secure enclaves) in a real system, and can describe where it fell short. - Experience building data lineage, metadata, or policy-engine tooling, or large-scale deletion and retention systems. - Background in security engineering, or has worked directly with a security team on access control implementation. - Has been one of the first engineers building out a privacy function, and can point to the specific systems they personally built, not just the program they ran. LOGISTICS - Location: This role is based in San Francisco, California. - Compensation: Depending on background, skills and experience, the expected annual salary range for this position is $300,000 - $350,000 USD. - Visa sponsorship: We sponsor visas. While we can't guarantee success for every candidate or role, if you're the right fit, we're committed to working through the visa process together. - Benefits: Thinking Machines offers generous health, dental, and vision benefits, unlimited PTO, paid parental leave, and relocation support as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a detection and response engineer to build how we find, investigate, and stop threats against our company, platforms, models, and data. You’ll own the pipelines that turn raw telemetry into high-fidelity detections, lead the response when real incidents happen, and run a threat intelligence practice that keeps our defenses focused on the adversaries who actually target frontier AI labs. You’ll partner closely with security, infrastructure, research, and product teams so that detection and response scale with the company instead of slowing it down. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Lead incident response end-to-end: triage, scoping, containment, eradication, recovery, and blameless postmortems that turn lessons into new detections and controls. - Design, build, and operate the security data pipelines and tooling that power detection and response: collecting, normalizing, enriching, and storing telemetry from cloud, Kubernetes, identity, endpoint, SaaS, and application sources. - Author, deploy, and maintain high-fidelity detections across SIEM, endpoint, cloud, and security tooling - Build and run our threat intelligence practice: track actors and campaigns relevant to AI labs such as espionage, model weight theft, supply chain compromise, and credential abuse. Turn that intel into hunts, detections, and hardening recommendations. - Proactively hunt for threats across our environment, and build automation and response tooling: enrichment, playbooks, automated containment that shortens time to detect and respond. - Collaborate with researchers and product teams to detect AI-specific threats in production.Develop and exercise incident response plans, on-call processes, and tabletop exercises with engineering, research, legal, and leadership. - Participate in an on-call pager rotation for security incidents. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or similar. - Proficiency in Python or Rust for building data pipelines, detections, and internal tools. - A track record responding to real security incidents in production environments, including leading investigations and coordinating across teams under pressure. - Hands-on experience building and operating security data pipelines at scale: log ingestion, parsing and normalization, enrichment, and storage and query in a SIEM or data lake (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Panther, BigQuery, Snowflake, or ClickHouse). - Experience producing and consuming threat intelligence: tracking adversary TTPs, mapping them to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, and translating intel into detections and hunts. - Strong understanding of cloud, AWS, GCP, or Azure, Kubernetes, and identity provider telemetry, and how attackers move through these environments. - Familiarity with host and network forensics, including endpoint telemetry, memory and disk analysis, and network logs. - Comfort operating across the stack and owning projects end-to-end. - Clear communication: incident reports, intel briefs, and postmortems for both technical and non-technical audiences. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Detection and response experience at an AI lab, cloud provider, or other high-threat environment targeted by sophisticated actors. - Experience detecting AI-specific abuse, such as prompt injection, model extraction, or anomalous API usage. - Familiarity with ML infrastructure telemetry: GPU clusters, training jobs, and model artifact storage. - Experience with stream processing (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Vector) and cost-aware log management at high volume. - Malware analysis or reverse engineering experience. - Talks, blogs, open-source detection content, or published threat research. LOGISTICS - Location: This role is based in San Francisco, California. - Compensation: Depending on background, skills and experience, the expected annual salary range for this position is $300,000 - $350,000 USD. - Visa sponsorship: We sponsor visas. We are looking for a Head of Governance who brings governance across the whole group together in one role. The successful candidate builds and runs the group governance framework, makes sure each of our investment practices knows and meets its regulatory and corporate obligations, and safeguards the independence of the compliance function of our regulated fund management business. The role is also the group's German-language lead for governance and compliance, in particular for our activities in Munich. Its scope spans all of Egeria's practices across the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, the United States, and Switzerland, including governance, conflicts of interest, and sanctions/KYC topics, as well as the relationship with our external compliance partners in the Netherlands, together with the Head of Compliance based in the Netherlands. Key Responsibilities Group governance framework Design, implement, and maintain the group governance framework: policies, delegations of authority, decision rights, and the Group Governance Handbook. Support the Board of Directors in meeting its non-transferable duties under Art. 716a of the Swiss Code of Obligations, including organization, oversight, and risk management. Keep governance documents of group entities aligned with each other, including shareholders' agreements, intra-group SLAs, and the compliance charter. Monitor the requirements for a mandatory supervisory board at the regulated fund management business and prepare the Board's review of the concentration of roles. Conflicts of interest and allocation Own the group conflicts of interest and allocation policy between our third-party funds and our balance-sheet investment practices. Maintain the group conflicts register and ensure conflicts are identified, documented, and resolved before decisions are taken. Work with the Head of Compliance, who remains responsible for conflicts and allocation within the regulated fund management business. Regulatory mapping and status checks Map the regulatory position of every practice and entity in the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, the United States, and Switzerland, and keep it up to date. Run regulatory status checks for Germany, Luxembourg, the United States, and Switzerland including the US status of co-investment structures and the oversight of an external Luxembourg AIFM. Coordinate external counsel in each jurisdiction and ensure their advice is documented and acted upon. Sanctions, KYC, data protection and tax for the non-regulated practices Set group standards for sanctions screening and KYC of counterparties across the non-regulated practices. Oversee data protection and tax governance topics together with Legal & Tax, without taking over first-line tasks from the business. Regulatory coverage of Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the United States Ensure compliance and governance coverage of projects with a regulatory angle in Germany, Luxembourg, the United States, and Switzerland. Cover German-language matters for the regulated fund management business as a documented service: regulatory contact, German host-state rules (including German AML law), training, and monitoring in Munich and Berlin. Prepare regulatory notifications outside the Netherlands where needed. Accountability for regulatory compliance of the regulated fund management business however remains with the Head of Compliance. Collaboration with the Head of Compliance Act as a functional sparring partner to the Head of Compliance. Set group-wide compliance methodology and training, and provide senior support in dealings with partners and authorities. Together with the Head of Compliance, manage the relationship with the external compliance partner in the Netherlands. Respect the independence of the compliance function: compliance findings remain with the Head of Compliance, and the role does not act as compliance officer of the regulated fund management business. Reporting Report regularly to the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee on group governance, conflicts, regulatory developments, and open findings. Escalate directly to the designated independent non-executive Board member where a matter involves the Chief Legal & Tax Officer, Executive Management, or the Executive Chairman. What We Offer A senior role with direct access to the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee, and real impact on high-level decisions and strategic projects. The opportunity to shape the role and build the group governance framework across an international investment group. An international remit spanning five jurisdictions, with regular time in Amsterdam, Boston, Berlin, and Munich. A long-term perspective in a family-owned, entrepreneurial investment group. A collegial, collaborative, and supportive working environment in our offices. Competitive salary and benefits, including an attractive pension plan.

ABOUT TINKER Tinker https://thinkingmachines.ai/tinker/ is our fine-tuning API that empowers researchers and developers to customize frontier AI to their needs — opening access to capabilities that have previously been concentrated in a handful of labs. We manage the infrastructure while allowing Tinkerers full flexibility in training open weights models with their own data, algorithms, and for their own needs. We also share the work we’re doing on post-training science broadly – like On-Policy Distillation https://thinkingmachines.ai/blog/on-policy-distillation/ – via our Connectionism blog https://thinkingmachines.ai/blog/. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re hiring an engineer focused on developer experience to build Tinker while using Tinker — working hands-on with real users and turning their challenges into product improvements. You’ll write and update cookbook recipes, add library features, prototype integrations, and ensure users can customize models smoothly. This role is a bridge between Tinker users and our teams. You’ll surface user patterns to guide product and infrastructure priorities, and share what you learn through blog posts, demos, and code examples. This is a technical-first role with a major user-facing component. It’s ideal for someone who’s who also enjoys talking to creative people. Tinker is flexible by design to empower novel and ambitious use cases for model fine-tuning — your job is to help them succeed. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Write, test, and maintain high-quality code examples, recipes, and documentation in the Tinker cookbook https://github.com/thinking-machines-lab/tinker-cookbook/tree/main/tinker_cookbook. - Work directly with a variety of users to debug technical issues and optimize their fine-tuning pipelines. - Partner with internal research and infra teams to identify and prioritize improvements to Tinker’s developer experience. - Build tools, integrations, and demos that reduce user friction and make it easy to experiment and deploy models. - Share insights from the field through posts, guides, and talks. - Help develop Tinker’s near-term roadmap and long-term product strategy. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Enabling user success in building on top of an advanced platform is a skill that can be developed through many paths. You might demonstrate that you have it if you: - Experienced with fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) with supervised and reinforcement learning, and how to tune the hyperparameters of these algorithms. - Experienced with developing software libraries, especially open-source libraries. - Are thoughtful about developer experience, with clear ideas around developer ergonomics, onboarding flow, and sharp edges. - Are passionate about engaging with open-source communities, whether by contributing code, answering questions, or sharing learnings. - Have written public or internal code examples, tutorials, or papers that helped others understand and apply technical concepts. - Are comfortable reasoning about model training, fine-tuning, and inference, and can credibly discuss tradeoffs between different approaches.
