Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together! About the mission We're looking for an experienced physicist to own the numerical simulation strategy for our superconducting qubits: setting direction, defining what counts as a trustworthy result, and identifying where our methods need to improve. Doing this means working across quantum physics, microwave engineering, and numerical methods. It calls for deep understanding of all three, and expertise where they intersect. About the role As technical lead for numerical simulation of superconducting qubits, you'll own how Alice & Bob predicts and validates device behavior before it reaches the lab. You'll define our simulation approach — from microwave design to qubit dynamics — and set the bar for when a result can be trusted. Where our methods fall short, you'll spot it and drive the fix. You're not executing someone else's roadmap; you're setting it, working closely with the physicists and engineers in the details. About you You have several years of experience beyond your PhD, with expertise spanning quantum physics, microwave engineering, and numerical methods. When a result doesn't hold up, you're comfortable challenging it and can rigorously demonstrate why. You're motivated by owning a technical direction rather than contributing to one.

VENTURE BUILDER - PROJECT AMBER (BANGKOK) Contract: Initial 6-month freelance contract, with the possibility of extension Rate: SGD 6,000 / month Start: Immediate / Urgent Location: Bangkok, with regular field time in the rice belt (Isan, Central Plains) More about the concept here. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/111GRCiHMbWQ7Mhp7clu6eVj9I5Fe0torULSBbQIbjHo/edit?slide=id.h1680521e6288a2b8_0_990#slide=id.h1680521e6288a2b8_0_990 Founders Factory builds and funds startups together with exceptional entrepreneurs and the world's leading companies. Created by IPO-exited founders, we offer founders capital, operational support from a team of hands-on experts, and unrivalled access to a coalition of industry-leading corporate partners. Since 2015, Founders Factory's 450+ portfolio companies have secured 500+ pilots and commercial contracts with our partners. Our Studio partners with entrepreneurs at day one, developing new ideas, technologies and business models into high-growth companies. In partnership with PTT, Thailand's national energy company, we are building a new portfolio of climate ventures out of Bangkok. ABOUT THE VENTURE Around 4.8 million tonnes of Thai rice straw are burned in the fields every year, driving 25–30% of dry-season PM2.5 in the Bangkok region. At the same time, global buyers are queuing for biochar carbon removal at around $160/t, and over 90% of industrial supply is already contracted. Nobody owns the route from the field to the buyer. Amber is the logistics and verification platform that closes that gap. It maps residue by satellite, routes it through contracted balers and trucks to field-edge kilns and pyrolysis plants, and captures an audit-grade chain of custody, from GPS pickup to lab result to credit, so scattered smallholder activity becomes premium, verified carbon removal. Since April 2026, farmers who burn lose access to state support, so they now need a route for their residue. Amber is backed by PTT, which brings logistics, rural reach, capital and offtake credibility that no standalone operator can rent. The plan is capex-light: broker first, toll second, own machinery last. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a hands-on Venture Builder to help take Amber from validated concept to a working business in six months, alongside the founder and the Founders Factory studio team. This is a build-first, high-ownership role. You'll own the early build: from sharpening the problem and scoping the MVP to running it in the field with real farmers, balers and kilns, and iterating fast. One week you'll be in a rice field in Isan with a baling contractor; the next you'll be mapping cost per tonne by distance or prototyping the dispatch app. It is not a pure design or engineering role, not a consulting role, and not a 9–5. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own the Phase 1 build. Get Amber's broker model live: the plot map and supply register, dispatch for contracted balers and trucks, and a field app that captures GPS trace, load weights, moisture and photos. - Run lean experiments in the field. Test what farmers accept per rai, the true cost per tonne by distance, and how far the collection radius can stretch, against the November–January harvest window. - Build the ecosystem. Sign up the first farmers, baling contractors, mills and biochar producers, and find new char buyers for producers who are short on demand. - Lay the MRV foundations. Design the data trail, from residue baseline through pickup, kiln batch and lab result, that Phase 2 credits under Puro.earth http://Puro.earth, Isometric or Premium T-VER will depend on. - Shape the product and the farmer experience. Make booking, pricing and payment simple enough for a smallholder and robust enough for an auditor. - Support the founder through the studio gates. Prepare the evidence for stage-gate and investment decisions with Founders Factory and PTT, and communicate progress and trade-offs clearly. - Track the market. Keep a close eye on carbon credit prices, the burning ban, Thailand's Climate Change Act and competitors. WHO YOU ARE - You have experience in agritech, agri supply chains, logistics, climate tech or carbon markets, ideally in Thailand or Southeast Asia. - You are comfortable in the field: you can build trust with farmers, village heads, balers and mill operators, and enjoy being on the ground. - You can build low-code prototypes (dispatch tools, field data capture, simple dashboards) and think about go-to-market, pricing and unit economics. - You are at home with data: satellite or geospatial data, operational metrics, cost models. MRV or carbon credit experience is a strong plus. - You work comfortably across product, operations, design, tech and growth. - You speak fluent Thai and strong English. - You are based in Bangkok or ready to be, and can travel regularly to rural provinces. - You want to be part of a founding journey, and possibly to build your own company one day. WHAT YOU GET - A front-row seat building a PTT-backed climate venture from day one - Hands-on support from the Founders Factory studio team across product, data, design, growth and fundraising - Real ownership of a business tackling one of Thailand's most visible problems - A global network of founders, operators and investors

Founders Factory

About Founders Factory Founders Factory is a venture studio and accelerator backed by some of the world's leading corporations. We combine capital investment with deep operational expertise to build and scale tech companies from scratch. With a portfolio of over 300 companies and $900M+ in follow-on funding, we offer a unique opportunity to shape the future of tech and entrepreneurship - working at the intersection of corporate innovation and startup building. About the Role Venture Design at Founders Factory is how we create new venture concepts on demand, not by chance. Working closely with our corporate partners, you'll take high-level investment themes and turn them into validated, venture-backable concepts through a structured three-month sprint. This is the earliest and most exploratory stage of our venture building process. You'll dig into markets, uncover gaps, conceptualise solutions, and pressure-test them with real users - all before a founder is ever hired. The concepts you validate and present to our Investment Committee become the ventures we go on to build. It's high-impact, high-autonomy work that directly shapes our portfolio. What You'll Do You'll own the end-to-end venture design sprint, working across research, strategy, prototyping, and validation. Specifically, you will: - Take investment themes developed with our corporate partners and break them down into explorable problem spaces and opportunity areas. - Conduct deep market research to understand where sectors are heading, identify structural gaps, and map the competitive landscape. - Generate multiple potential venture concepts from each theme, applying human-centred design principles to conceptualise solutions that address real user needs. - Design and run rapid experiments — including A/B testing, prototype testing, and user interviews — to validate or kill concepts quickly. - Synthesise research and testing into clear, evidence-backed recommendations, narrowing from many ideas to a shortlist of the strongest concepts. - Present validated concepts to the Investment Committee (comprising decision-makers from our corporate backers and the Founders Factory CEO), making a compelling case for which ventures to greenlight. - Collaborate across the studio — working with other Venture Designers, Venture Builders, investors, and functional specialists — to sharpen your thinking and leverage collective expertise. - Stay close to emerging technologies, tools, and market shifts so you're always bringing fresh thinking to each sprint. What We're Looking For - Proven experience in 0→1 concept development, venture design, or similar roles where you've taken ideas from fuzzy opportunity spaces through to validated propositions — ideally across multiple industries or verticals. - Strong strategic thinking combined with a bias for action. Founders Factory

ABOUT FOUNDERS FACTORY: Founders Factory is a venture studio and accelerator. We build technology companies from scratch, working with leading corporate partners to identify opportunities, develop new products and businesses, and build the founding teams that turn them into independent companies. Unlike a traditional VC, we don't just invest in companies that already exist. We help create them. That means our approach to talent is different too. We believe the right founder can fundamentally change the trajectory of a company. ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Talent Investor, you'll sit at the intersection of venture, talent and company building, helping us identify the exceptional people who will build our next generation of companies. Our ventures often start with a problem or opportunity, rather than a founder. Your job is to find the person who can turn that opportunity into an excellent business. You'll work closely with our Venture Builders, Studio Leads and founders to: - Identify exceptional founders across our global network and beyond. - Build talent maps and develop a point of view on where the best founders and operators sit. - Assess individuals for founder-market fit, looking beyond CVs and conventional credentials to understand their potential to build a company. - Build relationships with exceptional people who aren't necessarily looking for their next role. - Convince them to take the leap into entrepreneurship and build with Founders Factory. - Help founders identify and recruit their early founding team across product, technology, commercial and growth. - Develop our approach to founder sourcing, assessment and talent intelligence as we build more ventures. This isn't traditional recruitment. You won't be given a list of vacancies to fill. You'll be given venture theses and asked to work out who could build them. You'll have significant autonomy to experiment with how we identify, assess and attract exceptional people, and your work will directly influence the quality and trajectory of the companies we build. ABOUT YOU At your core, you're obsessed with exceptional people and curious about how great companies are built. You might come from VC, executive search, strategy consulting, investment banking, a high-growth startup, venture building or talent. You don't need to have worked in venture before. What matters is that you can: - Spot exceptional people and develop a strong point of view on their potential. - Understand businesses, markets and what makes founders successful. - Build genuine relationships and influence people to make high-stakes career decisions. - Source talent creatively, particularly people who aren't actively looking. - Operate with limited information, ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy. - Balance instinct with evidence and be willing to change your mind. - Move quickly without compromising your judgement. - Communicate clearly and challenge assumptions when needed. You don't need to be a founder or have a traditional career path. We care more about your judgement, curiosity, ambition and ability to identify exceptional people. WHAT YOU'LL BE MEASURED ON - Founder quality: Exceptional founders joining our ventures. - Founder-market fit: The quality of our decisions around who should build which company. - Speed: Moving from venture thesis to founder commitment quickly. - Founding teams: Helping founders build the teams they need to succeed. - Talent intelligence: Building a proprietary network and understanding of exceptional founders and operators. - Repeatability: Making our approach to talent investing better and more scalable over time. A CAREER IN VENTURE Talent Investing sits at the intersection of people, company building and venture capital. You'll develop an investor's perspective on founders and companies at the earliest possible stage, often before there is a company to invest in. Over time, there is scope to develop into broader venture-building and investment responsibilities across Founders Factory, depending on your performance, interests and the needs of the business. OUR CULTURE Working at Founders Factory is very different from working at a traditional company. We are resilient business builders, passionate about what we're creating and comfortable operating in uncertainty. We: - Think big, act small, move fast - Value momentum over perfection - Embrace uncertainty and remain decisive - Suggest solutions, not problems - Prioritise diversity to strengthen our collective intelligence - Are polite, generous and show empathy to others WHAT WE OFFER - Competitive salary - Shares in the Founders Factory global portfolio - Hybrid working — typically Tuesdays and Thursdays in the London office - Up to 5 weeks working abroad each year - 25 days annual leave - 1 additional mental health day per quarter - Monthly calendar freedom day - Travel opportunities across our global Founders Factory offices - Access to our network of founders, investors, operators and corporate partners Founders Factory is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where people can authentically be themselves, challenge assumptions, take risks and think creatively.

Founders Factory

👋 HEY, WE'RE FOUNDERS FACTORY Founders Factory builds and funds startups together with exceptional entrepreneurs and the world's leading companies. Headquartered in London and operating globally, Founders Factory backs visionary founders with capital, dedicated support from a team of expert operators, and unrivalled access to a coalition of industry leading corporate partners. Since 2015, FF has backed 450+ portfolio companies helping them to secure over 500 enterprise pilots with blue chip corporate partners such as Aviva, Northwestern Medicine, Johnson & Johnson Innovation, and HSBC. The Opportunity: Health systems globally are burdened by capacity constraints, rising chronic disease, aging populations, and escalating operational costs. Care delivery models built around physical hospitals are increasingly unsustainable. Advances in connected devices, remote diagnostics, and AI-enabled monitoring now make it possible to safely move large parts of care beyond hospital walls while improving outcomes and patient experience. The big promise of technology in this space is to enable continuous, proactive, and lower cost care particularly across long-term condition management or home-based / community care while allowing scarce clinical resources to focus where they matter most. We are looking for exceptional Venture Builders who are passionate about building the future of healthcare delivery. 🔍 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? As a Venture Builder, you specialise in taking ideas from zero to venture-backable businesses. You work closely with founders to shape strategy, validate problem spaces, build MVPs, and find early product market fit. This is a hands on, high ownership role. You’ll operate across product, design, growth and tech, moving fast, making decisions, and focusing relentlessly on what creates the most leverage at each stage of a venture. You have a varied skill set and will have demonstrated an interest in tech and entrepreneurship. You will be an advocate for FF’s values and mission and be committed to supporting founders. You are opinionated but evidence led, creative but commercial, and comfortable operating in ambiguity. You care deeply about building products people actually want and businesses that can scale. Please note that we are looking for Venture Builders who are available for an initial 6-12 month contract (freelance). Our preferred location is New York, but we will be open to considering hybrid approaches for exceptional talent in Austin, Boston or Denver. 💪 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Owning the end-to-end early build: from problem definition and MVP scoping through to shipping, testing, and iteration - Getting products into users hands fast, using lean, experimental approaches to validate assumptions and generate learning - Shaping the customer experience and product vision, balancing user needs with commercial and technical realities - Working closely with founders to challenge thinking, sharpen focus, and drive momentum, especially when things feel unclear or uncomfortable - Helping ventures progress through studio stage gates, supporting founders towards strong, evidence-backed IC decisions - Spotting opportunities early by staying close to market dynamics, emerging tech, and real user behaviour - Communicating clearly and regularly, sharing progress, learnings, trade-offs, and recommendations with founders and the wider studio 🎯 REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND MINDSET: - Demonstrated 0→1 experience in digital health or medtech, whether at a startup, through a side project, research, or volunteering (experience applying AI or developing innovative health/medical devices are considered highly advantageous). - Driving momentum by subscribing to lean methodologies and an experimental approach, you prioritise speed, learning, and focus over perfection - Comfortable wearing multiple hats (product, design, tech, growth) and knowing when to pull in specialist support - Strong technical mindset, with the ability to build no-code / low-code solutions, prototypes, or proofs of concept to accelerate validation - Commercially curious with the ability to think about ICPs, value propositions, pricing hypotheses, and early GTM alongside product - Communicating your ideas, progress and learnings to the team, seeking feedback when needed. - Comfortable setting expectations and ways of working with founders, and maintaining strong, honest working relationships 👌 WE VALUE PEOPLE WHO: - Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy solving messy problems - Quick thinking and intuition, someone who can balance creativity with objective data - A passion for creating products people love, caring about product performance is key - The ability to adapt and operate in an ambiguous environment - Comfortable with taking calculated risks and learning fast - Wanting to continuously improve your skills and productivity, challenging yourself when you can - Strong leadership that drives outcomes - Being approachable and optimistic 🚫 WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT - Not a pure designer or engineer - Not a consultant writing decks from the sidelines - Not a 9–5 role This role is about building, deciding, testing, and moving. This is a fast-moving venture studio environment where momentum matters and timelines can be intense at key moments. Please if you like the sound of a 12 month contract and you've built products from scratch before (yourself). Note - Sloppy/Lazy AI applications will be rejected.

You can zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in to run a scrappy experiment in the same afternoon. - Deep comfort with market research and competitive analysis. The sprint format means things move fast and the brief is often wide open. That excites you, not intimidates you. Nice to Have - Fluency in German language - Background in innovation or a venture studio/builder environment. - Experience working with or alongside corporate partners and navigating stakeholder dynamics. - Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools (Figma, no-code/low-code platforms) to bring concepts to life quickly. - Understanding of business model design and unit economics at the concept stage. - Experience across multiple sectors (fintech, healthtech, sustainability, consumer, etc.). What We Offer - The chance to shape ventures from the very beginning — the concepts you validate become real companies. - A collaborative, high-energy studio environment surrounded by builders, investors, and operators. - Exposure to a diverse range of industries and corporate partners. - Desk space in our London office with a fully-serviced workspace. - Support across marketing, legal, finance, fundraising, growth, and recruitment. - Competitive salary and benefits package.
