We are hiring a Staff SRE / Infrastructure Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and developer experience of the platforms that power our investment, portfolio, and enterprise operations. You will set the technical direction for our hybrid cloud footprint (AWS + Azure + on-prem), harden production for a regulated buy-side environment, and lead an emerging body of work applying AI to incident response and root-cause analysis. This is a hands-on senior IC role with material influence over architecture, tooling standards, and how engineers ship software. What you 'll do Own end-to-end reliability for business-critical services — SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, DR, and incident command — with a five-nines mindset appropriate to financial services workloads. Design and evolve our multi-cloud and on-prem infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and colocated environments; drive workload placement, cost, and resilience trade-offs. Build and maintain the Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD backbone that lets product and data teams ship safely and quickly; codify golden paths and paved roads. Advance observability (metrics, logs, traces, profiling) so on-call engineers can localize failures in minutes, not hours; instrument reliability as a first-class product surface. Lead the buildout of AI-assisted SRE capabilities — LLM-driven triage, incident summarization, runbook synthesis, and automated RCA — with human-in-the-loop guardrails. Partner with security, data platform, and application teams on hardening, patching, secrets, network segmentation, and change management appropriate to a regulated environment. Participate in a leader-level on-call rotation; run blameless postmortems and drive systemic fixes to closure. Mentor senior engineers; set the bar for infrastructure code review, production readiness reviews, and reliability practice across the org. Required experience 10+ years building and operating production infrastructure at scale, including hybrid cloud + on-prem. Deep expertise in AWS and Azure compute, networking, IAM, and managed data services; comfortable with account/project topology, landing zones, and org-level guardrails. Expert-level Linux , Terraform , Ansible , and modern CI / CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo, or equivalent). Track record of measurable improvements in platform reliability, MTTR, deployment velocity, and developer productivity. Strong scripting/software skills in Python and/or Go; can read and refactor application code well enough to debug across the stack. Production experience with Kubernetes, service meshes, and container security posture. Fluency with observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/Splunk). Experience running incident command and driving durable postmortem outcomes. Nice to have Prior experience in financial services, buy-side, or another regulated environment (SOC 2, SOX, GLBA). Hands-on work with AI / LLM tooling for SRE — agentic incident response, RAG over runbooks/telemetry, or automated RCA. Experience with data-center automation, colocation, or modular infrastructure. FinOps depth: unit economics, cost attribution, and budget governance across AWS/Azure. The compensation range for this position is for a full-time employee in New York. Redesign Health

ABOUT THE COMPANY: Redesign Health https://www.redesignhealth.com/ is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. We manage venture capital and venture buyout strategies, each powered by an AI operating system and a team of leading technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors drawn from the most consequential healthcare, AI, and software institutions in the world. Since 2018, Redesign and our portfolio companies have touched the lives of more than 15 million patients, raised over $1.5 billion from premier institutional, sovereign, and strategic investors, and built distinctive partnerships with marquee healthcare organizations and senior leaders around the world. We are headquartered in New York, with offices in Bengaluru, Los Angeles, and Riyadh. ABOUT THE TEAM: Redesign's technology practice combines a frontier applied AI lab with deep healthtech investing expertise. Members of the practice have founded companies worth more than two billion dollars and built systems that serve hundreds of millions of patients, providers, and expert users, and run inside NASA, CIA, and 90% of the Fortune 500. The practice is responsible for Redesign's technical investments, supports founders with architect-level guidance and more than a million dollars in AI and cloud credits, and builds the agentic operating system at the core of our business. Just as importantly, we help every team at Redesign use that system to become more technical, more creative, and more self-sufficient. We believe everyone is a builder, and that AI can let exceptional operators turn their expertise into software at the speed of thought. We are a team of founders and researchers, musicians and astrophysicists, caregivers and friends. We prize analytical rigor, intellectual humility, and a drive to learn, build, and teach. We have been working on language models since before they were large, but we still reinvent ourselves every day as technology changes how we work and collaborate. We believe that AI will do more good for humanity in healthcare than anywhere else. We know the most impactful member of our team will be someone we have not yet met, and we cannot wait to learn from them. ABOUT THE JOB: We're hiring a Principal / Staff Engineer to own the backend and internal platform layer between Redesign’s infrastructure and its applied AI products. This is the technology that makes our data, tools, and development patterns usable by engineers, agents, and the domain experts building software across the firm. One distinctive feature of Redesign is that every person at the company is, in some meaningful sense, a software engineer. Building for that audience is a new and special craft: the platform has to be powerful enough for senior engineers, legible enough for nontraditional builders, and structured enough for agents to use safely. You will report to a VP of Technology, and join a global technology practice built around senior individual contributors with unusually broad ownership. In this role, you will own a full technical domain between infrastructure and applied AI, and build it around agentic principles. WHAT YOU'LL DO: At Redesign, everyone builds. Experienced engineers ship more complexity than ever before, domain experts turn judgment into working systems, and agents participate in the path from idea to production. That changes what backend engineering means. The backend is the shared layer of data, access, tools, and conventions that lets many kinds of builders create safely. This role owns that layer between infrastructure and applied AI. - Build the backend platform behind Redesign’s operating system. You will own the APIs, databases, services, resource models, migrations, and access patterns that back our core AI operating system. Your job is to make the primitives behind Redesign’s work easy to discover, safe to extend, and hard to misuse, so applications, agents, and builders can consume trusted data without bespoke plumbing. - Define the paradigm for AI-native development. You will own the systems and conventions that let agents drive software engineering: agentic coding patterns, harness design, memory management, verification loops, and self-learning multi-agent code review. Done well, this unlocks a trusted path from intent to production: if generated code is safe, standards-compliant, and proven to do what it was meant to do, it can become part of the system without turning human review into a bottleneck. - Build for a workforce where everyone creates software. You will own the developer experience for a builder population that brings together infrastructure engineers, applied AI engineers, and domain experts without formal software backgrounds. You will deeply understand how Redesign functions and build powerful primitives that cut across teams, decisions, and geographies. That means thoughtfully designed tools and interfaces that capture the most important work and workflows, and let the whole firm turn judgment into technology at the speed of thought. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: We value and actively seek exceptional talent from all backgrounds and experiences, recognizing that excellence takes many forms. The strongest candidates have been selected into high-talent environments, distinguished themselves within them, earned unusually broad scope or trusted ownership, progressed rapidly, or done work that changed the trajectory of a team, product, company, or field. While every path is different, we believe the most successful candidates for this role will share the following characteristics: - 10-12+ years of engineering experience, with meaningful time at staff, principal, or equivalent level at a serious software company. You have anchored the technical work of a small, fast team before, and you have owned backend, data, developer-platform, or internal-platform systems that other people built on every day. - You have shipped production backend systems in Python and/or TypeScript, with ownership of database schemas, migrations, API contracts, authentication, and permissions. You have worked deeply with Postgres or a similar relational database; built authorization or identity layers with scoped access for users, services, and agents; and shipped APIs and data services that multiple teams depended on. - You have built or operated agent-facing infrastructure that teams used every day: MCP servers and tools, Claude Code or Cursor conventions, skills or plugin systems, sandboxed execution, code-review automation, evals, usage and cost controls, and safe defaults. You understand that agents are now first-class consumers of backend systems. - You have range across product craft and developer experience. You have built tools, applications, or internal platforms for experienced engineers and for builders without traditional software backgrounds, and you understand that this work is as much about shaping how people encounter the system as it is about creating a technical surface. You have thought deeply about how different kinds of builders climb the AI curve, where they get stuck, and what a great first experience should feel like. - You are AI-native. LLMs and agents have rewired how you build. You are proficient with modern agent frameworks (the Anthropic Agent SDK, Lang* / Deep Agents, or similar) and have shipped production systems on top of them. You have built sophisticated systems on top of coding agents like Claude Code (skills, MCPs, custom harnesses) and have hardly written code by hand in over a year. - Technology is one of your passions, and you find deep meaning in some other pursuit to which you've devoted your time, thought, and effort: a creative or athletic outlet, a family business, or service. Strong plus: track record as a founder, founding engineer, or 0-to-1 product engineering owner inside a small, fast team. Bonus: a quantitative degree (or a few) from a strong program; open-source contributions; published work; or a side project other people have actually used. WHO YOU ARE: - A true builder who is always tinkering, experimenting, and looking for the better way. Where others see one-off app requests, you see the workflows, access patterns, and primitives that could make the next ten requests easier. - Proud of platform craft. You believe the difference between systems people build on and systems people work around is the quality of the design, and the technical and business judgment behind it. - A clear writer who believes English is the most important programming language. Your API docs, migration notes, examples, agent instructions, and tool descriptions make the right path obvious to humans and agents. - Allergic to repeating yourself. If you see the same workaround twice, the third answer is a shared service, MCP tool, template, or platform capability. - Deeply curious about the business, not just the technology. You can read a deal memo, a fundraising deck, and a research note and create great data models, APIs, and tools around them. - You design for agents as first-class users. You think about tools, context, permissions, evals, memory, and failure recovery as product surfaces. - You have thrived in a group of passionate, talented, diverse, and low-ego individuals because these kinds of people love working with you. - You have accomplished something most people haven't: started a company, won an international academic award, shipped a product loved by many, performed music around the world, or overcome difficult circumstances to succeed. You have dedicated your life to excellence in your craft. HOW WE WORK: Our company values are the standards and norms that shape how we make decisions, build teams, serve patients, and partner with one another. They define what you can expect from us and what we expect from every person who joins our team. We share them openly so candidates can decide whether this way of working will bring out their best. - Patients are waiting: Work with the urgency that patients deserve. - AI sets the floor: Nothing short of what AI in expert hands can deliver; taste and judgment own the last mile. - Stack the team: Talent density is our greatest asset; raise the bar with every hire. - Trust people, challenge ideas: Assume good intent; never shy from rigorous debate. - Sweat your craft: Take pride in your work; seek feedback to continuously improve. - Go beyond: Your role, comfort zone, and expectations for what’s possible. - Be the partner you want: High integrity, responsive, and genuinely invested in shared success. - No shortcuts: Patient safety, clinical standards, and partner trust above all. COMPENSATION AND LOCATION: You will work out of our Bengaluru office on a hybrid schedule, with strong overlap into US Eastern and Pacific hours. We target world-class talent and compensate accordingly, with packages containing a mix of cash and fund equity.

Redesign Health

About The Company Redesign Health is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. We manage venture capital and venture buyout strategies, each powered by an AI operating system and team of leading technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors. Our venture capital strategy backs exceptional founders at the earliest stage—often before an idea is fully formed—and provides first institutional capital and an unmatched degree of strategic leverage and domain expertise through exit. Our venture buyout strategy partners with proven management teams through control investments and delivers outsized value by rewiring core products and workflows with AI. Since inception in 2018, Redesign and our portfolio companies have touched the lives of more than 15 million patients, raised over $1.5 billion from premier institutional, sovereign, and strategic investors, and built distinctive partnerships with marquee healthcare organizations and senior leaders around the world. Redesign is based in New York and has offices in Bengaluru, Los Angeles, and Riyadh. About The Role We are seeking a Director of Community & Event Marketing to lead Redesign Health’s global events strategy and build the experiences, programs, and digital infrastructure that connect and engage our community year-round. This role will lead the experiences and platforms that bring our community together and keep them connected. You’ll oversee global events while building a strong digital community for Redesign Health founders, investors, healthcare leaders, and partners. A major part of the role will be developing the community experience around our venture platform, particularly for founders. That may include digital community platforms, Slack communities, webinars and virtual programming, peer groups, office hours, curated introductions, resources, and new ways for founders to access Redesign Health’s network and expertise. The goal is not simply to manage events or a community channel. It is to build an ecosystem that makes the value of being part of Redesign Health tangible, accessible, and increasingly valuable over time. What You’ll Do You will lead Redesign Health’s events and community marketing function, creating both physical and digital experiences that strengthen relationships across our global network. You will think holistically about how people discover Redesign Health, participate in our community, connect with one another, access our team and resources, and remain engaged over time. You will lead the events and experiential marketing function, overseeing all event touchpoints and ensuring every experience consistently and authentically reflects the Redesign Health brand. Through flagship summits, strategic activations, executive gatherings, and industry partnerships, you will create opportunities that deepen relationships, elevate thought leadership, and advance the company’s broader business priorities. You will also partner with our VP of Marketing, communications team, and broader marketing function to support strategic announcements, executive visibility, content development, and integrated campaigns tied to major company initiatives. - Own Global Events and Experiences: Own the strategy and execution of Redesign Health’s global events portfolio, including a minimum of two major international summits annually, recurring activations, founder gatherings, executive dinners, roundtables, partner programs, and locally hosted events. Ensure each experience is designed around clear audience, community, brand, and business objectives. - Lead End-to-End Event Execution: Manage event development, including concepting, budgeting, timelines, venues, vendors, production, programming, speaker coordination, registration, travel, communications, and onsite execution. Partner closely with regional teams to ensure global consistency while adapting events to local markets, cultures, and strategic priorities. - Build Our Digital Community Platform: Develop and own the strategy for how Redesign Health’s community connects digitally. Partner with product, technology, and internal teams to evaluate and build the right infrastructure for our community, whether through dedicated software, existing community platforms, Slack, or other tools. Define the experience, programming, content, and engagement model that makes these spaces genuinely useful rather than simply another channel to monitor. - Create Year-Round Founder Programming: Build a consistent cadence of programming that helps founders learn from Redesign Health and one another. This may include webinars, AMAs, expert office hours, peer groups, workshops, curated introductions, founder-only conversations, and other virtual or hybrid experiences. Identify what our founders need and continually evolve programming around those needs. - Strengthen Community Connectivity: Create mechanisms that make it easier for founders and other members of our network to find and help one another. Develop thoughtful approaches to introductions, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, mentorship, expertise discovery, and collaboration across the Redesign Health ecosystem. - Build Strategic Event and Community Partnerships: Identify opportunities to collaborate with respected organizations, networks, investors, and healthcare institutions to extend the reach and value of Redesign Health’s community. Develop relationships across key global markets and identify opportunities for co-hosted programming, community partnerships, and regional engagement. - Elevate Redesign Health Leaders: Partner with the PR and communications team to identify and secure speaking opportunities, conference placements, panels, awards, and other external platforms for Redesign Health leaders. Build a forward-looking calendar of opportunities and manage submissions, preparation, logistics, and amplification. - Support Integrated Marketing: Work with the broader marketing team to support strategic announcements, content development, thought leadership, social media, event communications, and other campaigns connected to Redesign Health’s platforms and initiatives. Ensure these efforts are integrated into the company’s broader brand and communications strategy rather than operating as standalone programs. - Build an AI-Innate Community and Events Function: Experiment with and deploy AI-native approaches to community management, matchmaking, attendee and member research, programming, content development, communications, event operations, and measurement. Explore how AI can make a global network feel more personalized, connected, and useful at scale. What You’ll Need - You have 8+ years of work experience, with significant experience in events, experiential marketing, field marketing, brand marketing, or a related function. You have directly owned complex, executive-level events from initial strategy through onsite delivery. - You have planned and executed major conferences, summits, executive gatherings, or strategic activations and understand what exceptional looks like across programming, production, logistics, communications, and attendee experience. - You have worked at either a high-growth startup, venture firm, healthcare organization, professional network, or similarly complex organization for 2+ years and understand how events can support broader brand, relationship, and business objectives. - You have experience working with senior executives, external partners, agencies, vendors, speakers, and sponsors, and are comfortable representing an organization in high-visibility settings. - You have experience coordinating initiatives across multiple regions, offices, or international stakeholders and are comfortable navigating different cultures, time zones, and ways of working. - You have experience supporting global events or audiences across at least one country outside of the US. - You are willing and able to travel regularly and attend the events you lead Who You Are You are a strategic events leader with a proven track record of building high-impact experiences for executive and industry audiences. You thrive at the intersection of strategic planning, relationship building, and detailed execution, and you understand that successful events must create value well beyond the room itself. You have embraced the impact of AI across your work while maintaining an exceptionally high bar for quality, hospitality, and brand experience. - Drives Results: Persists in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. Has a track record of delivering complex events successfully, on time, and within budget. Anticipates challenges, maintains momentum, and consistently achieves results, even under demanding circumstances. - Plans and Aligns: Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Establishes clear timelines, owners, budgets, and decision points. Coordinates multiple stakeholders and workstreams while maintaining visibility into risks, dependencies, and progress. - Community Builder: Understands what makes professional communities valuable and creates the conditions for meaningful participation. Identifies what members need from Redesign Health and from one another, then translates those needs into programming, connections, content, tools, and experiences. Thinks intentionally about the entire community journey, from onboarding and discovery through participation, contribution, and long-term engagement. - Strategic Mindset: Sees events as strategic business and brand platforms rather than standalone productions. Connects programming, audience, partnerships, executive visibility, and content to the broader goals of Redesign Health. Identifies opportunities that strengthen relationships and expand the company’s influence. - Excellent Collaborator: Works cooperatively with others across the organization and with external parties to achieve shared objectives, embracing debate and discussion in the spirit of progress. ABOUT THE JOB: We're hiring an ambitious, self-initiated, product-minded Principal Applied AI Engineer to build the agentic workflows that power Redesign’s most important decisions: the founders we back, the concepts we pursue, the people we hire, the investors we work with, and the healthcare partners we support. You will turn messy, high-judgment business workflows into scalable, self-learning systems that compound the firm’s impact. You will ship with the ownership of a founder and the judgment of an investor. You keep current with frontier AI research and retool your tradecraft every day. You will join a global team of former founders, architects, and research scientists in a high-leverage role. Your peers will be among the most senior technical and business leaders at the firm. Interested and qualified candidates may hire and manage additional engineers as needed. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Redefine healthcare investing as a technical discipline. You will design and ship AI systems to unlock one of the world's densest and highest-impact repositories of healthtech venture knowledge. You will embed with our investment, talent, and global development teams to solve problems in deep research, alternative people and organizational data, and human-agent interaction. You will constantly raise the bar on the level of technical sophistication that we embody and offer to our founders, portfolio, and healthcare partners. - Push the frontier of applied AI. You will build durable, long-horizon agents, combine complex human judgment with context engineering and self-improving feedback loops, and constantly invent things that didn't exist yesterday. As appropriate, you will publish, open-source, and share what you learn across our portfolio, our healthcare partners, and the broader research community. - Raise the technical bar across the company. You will use the work you ship to teach the organization what AI can do, contribute reusable patterns back to our core systems, and help teammates and portfolio companies understand how to build differently in an AI-native world. - Create global patient impact. As a technologist-investor, you will source, assess, inspire, and close exceptional founders, then support them in building enduring, transformative health technology companies that serve millions of patients and providers around the world. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: We value and actively seek exceptional talent from all backgrounds and experiences, recognizing that excellence takes many forms. We care less about the specific arena than about clear evidence of superlative peer-relative performance: being selected into high-talent environments, distinguishing yourself within them, earning unusually broad scope or trusted ownership, progressing rapidly, or doing work that changed the trajectory of a team, product, company, or field. While every path is different, we believe the most successful candidates for this role will share the following characteristics: - You have spent 10+ years in a senior technical role at a major venture-backed startup, frontier AI lab, or investment firm. Bonus points for founding a company and building a product from 0-1, or for meaningful time inside a VC or similar. - You are an expert in Python and/or TypeScript and have written and reviewed millions of lines of code. You are proficient with modern agent frameworks (Lang* / Deep Agents, the Anthropic Agent SDK, or similar) and have shipped systems on top of them in production. - You have built or materially modified the harness around an agent: custom tools or agentic CLIs, MCP servers, durable and sandboxed execution, observability, and self-learning loops. You have built stateful, long-horizon agentic systems well beyond basic RAG, and have wrestled with the evals, context engineering, and failure modes that emerge when models sit in front of real business users. Bonus points for a pre-LLM background in machine learning, knowledge graphs, semantic search, or for having built CRM-like intelligence products such as enterprise RevOps or recruiting software. - You have completely reinvented your workflow around AI. You've built sophisticated systems on top of coding agents like Claude Code (skills, MCPs, custom harnesses for development and code review) and have hardly written code by hand in over a year. - Technology is one of your passions, but you find deep meaning in some other pursuit to which you've devoted your time, thought, and effort: a creative or athletic outlet, a family business, or service. WHO YOU ARE: - You are a relentless, startup-native technologist with a high tolerance for ambiguity and an even higher speed of execution. - You are obsessive about building products people love. Where others see requirements, you see people trying to do difficult work with imperfect tools. You earn their trust by working alongside them, and you go to unreasonable lengths to make sure what you build creates outsize impact. - You architect interfaces for agents as deliberately as most engineers architect interfaces for humans. You think about tools, context, memory, evals, and failure recovery as product surfaces. - You are drawn to the messy human systems where data, relationships, and expertise are combined to predict the future. Ideally you have worked inside an investment firm, built software for one, or spent enough time around investors and operators to understand how they work. - You have an outstanding executive presence and can skillfully elicit critical information about what to build. You help nontechnical leaders understand "the art of the possible" and they trust you because you deliver for them. - You have thrived in a group of passionate, talented, diverse, and low-ego individuals because these kinds of people love working with you. - You are deeply motivated to transform global healthcare and see technology as the true calling through which you can better the world. COMPENSATION AND LOCATION: You will work on a hybrid schedule from our offices in New York, San Francisco, or Bengaluru. We target world-class talent and compensate accordingly, with packages containing a mix of cash and fund equity.

ABOUT THE COMPANY Redesign Health https://www.redesignhealth.com is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. We manage venture capital and venture buyout strategies, each powered by an AI operating system and team of leading technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors. Our venture capital strategy backs exceptional founders at the earliest stage, often before an idea is fully formed, often providing the first institutional capital and an unmatched degree of strategic healthcare-specific leverage through exit. Our venture buyout strategy partners with proven management teams at existing incumbents via control investments and delivers outsized value by rewiring core products and workflows with AI. Since inception in 2018, Redesign and our portfolio companies have touched the lives of more than 15 million patients, raised over $1.5 billion from premier institutional, sovereign, and strategic investors, and built distinctive partnerships with marquee healthcare organizations around the world. Redesign is based in New York and has offices in Bengaluru, Los Angeles, and Riyadh. ABOUT THE CEDARS-SINAI / REDESIGN HEALTH PARTNERSHIP Redesign Health and Cedars-Sinai have launched a Digital Innovation Platform, a first-of-its-kind venture creation engine embedded inside one of the world’s premier academic medical centers. The platform combines Redesign’s healthcare company-building methodology with something no standalone venture firm can offer: Cedars-Sinai’s 4,500+ physicians and nurses, its expansive clinical network of 40+ hospitals and sites of care, a purpose-built synthetic and de-identified data platform, and a standing commitment to serve as the first customer for every company the platform creates. Ideas originate from the clinicians and researchers who see problems up close every day. The companies that emerge are validated in real clinical environments before they ever reach the broader market. This is an unparalleled opportunity to build generational healthcare companies. You will have something almost no one in a healthcare venture has: a fully committed institutional partner with world-class clinical expertise, deep data assets, and the infrastructure to pilot and validate at scale - all before a company writes its first check to a customer. The access is real. The commitment is structural, not performative. For the full list of exclusive benefits as part of the Redesign Health and Cedars-Sinai partnership, explore the article here https://www.cedars-sinai.org/digital-innovation-platform.html. ABOUT THE ROLE Most healthcare investors wait for companies to come to them. This role creates them. As a New Ventures Associate, you will research opportunities across the healthcare landscape to identify space for new venture backable companies to be built or scale. You will build the competitive landscapes and market analyses that separate real opportunities from noise, and help turn that work into investment theses the team can act on. Our job is to evaluate and identify the right opportunities for venture creation and/or scaling while directing other solutions to the proper channel within the Cedars-Sinai organization. You will continue to develop the infrastructure that lets us do this repeatedly and you will spend real time in the local innovation community, building the relationships with investors and founders. This is a strong role for someone early in their career who wants to get exposure to venture at the heart of where healthcare is delivered through a truly unique partnership. You will work directly with New Ventures and Cedars-Sinai leadership, help turn thematic research into opportunities to fund companies, and have access to clinical and institutional partners. We are looking for someone with 1 to 3 years of experience in investing (banking, venture, PE, or other relevant areas) or research (consulting, strategy, other relevant areas) including with a preference for candidates with exposure to healthcare and digital health. We’r looking for someone with sharp analytical judgment, genuine curiosity about healthcare innovation, and the ability to earn credibility with clinicians, operators, and entrepreneurs. You should be able to move quickly, be comfortable with ambiguity, and provide succinct answers to complex problems. This position is based in Los Angeles and will work onsite 3-4 days per week in our Cedars-Sinai office. WHAT YOU’LL DO: - Evaluate and research commercial opportunities in healthcare. - Identify Commercially Viable Opportunities: Find opportunities that address specific challenges within Cedars-Sinai and are emblematic of systemic challenges that health systems across the country face, ensuring they are strategically aligned with organizational goals. - Redesign Research: Apply Redesign Health’s scoring frameworks and leverage RH venture-building methodologies to evaluate, prioritize, and refine innovation opportunities - Direct opportunities that don’t meet the level of a new or scalable venture opportunity to the right teams and/or channels that are more appropriate to address those pain points - Support the Infrastructure for the Digital Innovation Program at Cedars-Sinai - Socialize the Innovation Program: Foster a culture of creativity and innovation among staff by promoting the innovation program across the organization. - Meet with Stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders to learn about the various departments and institutes at CS, fostering collaboration and understanding of organizational needs. - Finalize Opportunity Zones: Driving identification and evaluation of opportunity zones to determine whether we believe there are viable investment theses for company creation. - Create the End to End Pipes: Leverage the existing infrastructure (i.e., internal submissions, areas of research, founder referrals) to fine tune an end to end pathway of evaluation to execution where every stakeholder feels included in the process. - Source and Co-ideate with founders once an opportunity is identified - Build and maintain a strong network of external founders, continuously cultivating relationships with entrepreneurs aligned with Cedars-Sinai's strategic priorities. - Evaluate external founders for partnership and company creation opportunities that advance Cedars-Sinai's mission and innovation objectives. - Serve as a thought partner throughout venture development, providing strategic guidance before and after operating company (OpCo) formation. - Facilitate meaningful connections between founders and Cedars-Sinai stakeholders, resources, clinicians, and ecosystem partners. - Lead the development and launch of new venture-backed companies that leverage validated opportunities and create meaningful impact across the healthcare ecosystem. - Successfully launch at least one new company annually in partnership with a founder, translating identified opportunities into scalable healthcare businesses. WHAT YOU’LL NEED - 1–3+ years of experience in venture capital, early-stage investing, startups, or a related field - Healthcare domain expertise preferred with the ability to develop original investment theses across care delivery, health tech, and digital health - Fluency in business model analysis, primary and secondary research, investment thesis development, and financial modeling - Bachelor’s degree required with demonstrated academic excellence CORE COMPETENCIES - Institutional Credibility: You hold your own in a room with senior clinicians and health system executives. You have worked inside or alongside a complex organization and understand how decisions actually get made, who needs to be brought along, and how to be useful to the people building internal support. - Analytical Rigor: You take an ambiguous question about a market and turn it into a clear, defensible answer. You build competitive landscapes, size markets, and pressure-test your own assumptions, and you can tell the difference between a finding that holds up and one that just looks clean. You know when an analysis is solid enough to act on and when it needs another pass. - Commercial Curiosity: You want to understand how businesses actually make money. You think about who pays, why they pay, and whether a model can hold up, and your questions get sharper as your sense for healthcare economics develops. You are not expected to have the final read yet, but you are building toward it. - Bias to Output: You move work forward without being managed through it. You hold several threads at once, hit your commitments, and produce clean material the team can put in front of leadership. When something is stuck, you surface it early rather than letting it drift. BEHAVIORAL SKILLS - Self-Starter: You are comfortable working independently and can own the execution of your own responsibilities. You are proactive in transforming your workflows and don’t wait for someone else to tell you something is wrong or should be improved. - Clear Communicator: Able to translate analyses into concise insights for senior leaders, investment committees, and management teams. - Entrepreneurial: You are resourceful, proactive, and comfortable building from ambiguity. You treat the sourcing engine itself as a product to be developed. - Bias for Action: Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment characterized by urgency, ownership, and adaptability. - Technology Innovator: You proactively leverage AI and emerging technology tools to create extraordinary productivity and impact. You think ahead about how your role will evolve and independently experiment with, adopt, and refine technology-driven solutions. HOW WE WORK Our company values are the standards and norms that shape how we make decisions, build teams, serve patients, and partner with one another.

ABOUT THE COMPANY: Redesign Health https://www.redesignhealth.com/ is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. We manage venture capital and venture buyout strategies, each powered by an AI operating system and team of leading technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors. Redesign is based in New York and has offices in Bengaluru, Los Angeles, and Riyadh. About the Role: As a New Ventures Principal, you will back exceptional founders at the earliest stage—often before an idea is fully formed—providing first institutional capital and an unmatched degree of strategic leverage and domain expertise through launch and beyond. This role demands generative ideation, exceptional founder judgment, and the ability to sell world-class entrepreneurs on partnering with Redesign Health. You will develop original investment theses in healthcare, identify and attract top 1% founding talent, lead co-ideation and diligence through Investment Committee, and serve as the primary interface between portfolio founders and Redesign’s platform. The core equation: Exceptional Founders × Differentiated Concepts × Redesign’s X-Factors = Power-Law Outcomes. WHAT YOU’LL DO: THESIS & IDEATION: Identify white space in healthcare where AI-native businesses can create outsized outcomes. Develop original, high-conviction investment theses grounded in deep market understanding, clinician pain points, and structural tailwinds. Generate concepts that are bold, differentiated, and commercially viable. Validate theses through primary conversations with clinicians, operators, payers, and potential customers—not just desktop research. Draft compelling collateral that attracts world-class founders to Redesign’s platform. FOUNDER SOURCING, SELLING & CO-IDEATION: Find top 1% founders and convince them that Redesign is their best path to building a generational healthcare company. Build a network that surfaces exceptional talent before anyone else sees them. Demonstrate Redesign’s strategic leverage compellingly enough that founders choose us. Lead a collaborative diligence process (“co-ideation”) to transform thematic areas into venture-scale business concepts. Evaluate concept potential and founder-market fit with the judgment to say no quickly when conviction is lacking—time spent on mediocre opportunities is time away from exceptional ones. DILIGENCE & IC DELIVERY: Stress-test your own theses harder than anyone else will. Identify the 2–3 questions that truly matter for each investment and resolve them through primary conversations and expert input. Shepherd founders and concepts to the Investment Committee with clarity, speed, and honest representation of risks. NETWORK & ECOSYSTEM BUILDING: Develop a robust pipeline of exceptional founders through proactive sourcing across VC networks, healthcare operator communities, and the broader startup ecosystem. Build and maintain deep relationships with tier-one venture capital firms, healthcare incumbents, and strategic investors. Be the person that founders proactively seek out, VCs call for pipeline intelligence, and the industry turns to for a healthcare venture perspective. Your network is a compounding asset—invest in it every week. PORTFOLIO COMPANY PARTNERSHIP: Act as the primary interface between portfolio founders and Redesign’s platform. Deliver the firm’s strategic leverage: domain expertise, go-to-market acceleration, fundraising positioning, and governance insight. Represent Redesign through a single non-controlling board seat where appropriate. Build trusted relationships with founding teams so they proactively seek your input—be the first person they call in a crisis. Know when to lean in and when to step back; the founder’s success is the only thing that matters. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: BACKGROUND - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred, with a record of high academic achievement. - 7+ years of experience with a significant portion in venture capital, company building, or early-stage investing. Direct experience evaluating founders and making investment decisions at the pre-seed to Series A stage is strongly preferred. - Deep healthcare domain expertise with the ability to develop original investment theses across care delivery, health tech, and healthcare services. - Fluency in business model analysis, investment thesis development, and financial modeling. - Deep connectivity to startup ecosystem with a proven ability to identify and attract generational founders. CORE COMPETENCIES - Founder Quality Obsession: A refined, evolving sense of what “great” looks like in founding talent, including the ability to recognize the exceptional in non-standard backgrounds. Holds the bar even when pipeline pressure creates incentives to lower it. - Speed to Kill: The ability to say no quickly—to founders, to concepts, to your own ideas. Runs a tight pipeline where nothing lingers in an uncertain state. Comfortable cutting bait despite time invested. - Commercial Instinct: Maps every concept to a specific stakeholder’s willingness to pay, understands unit economics, and senses whether a business model can scale. Academic depth paired with commercial judgment. - Big-Swing Thinking: Aims for outsized outcomes. Generates bold concepts with conviction, even when the path is unproven. Comfortable making asymmetric bets where the upside justifies the risk. BEHAVIORAL SKILLS - Relationships Over Research: You spend disproportionate time with founders, VCs, operators, clinicians, and payers. You know that a few sharp primary conversations will answer questions that weeks of secondary research cannot. - Drives Results: You take initiative without over-planning, seize opportunities, and tackle challenges with urgency and enthusiasm. - Radical Honesty: You surface risks early, communicate directly even when the message is unwelcome, and maintain strong opinions loosely held. You close loops even when the answer is no. - Partnership: The founder's success is the only thing that matters. You subordinate process preferences to founder needs, adapt to their pace, and always ask "what does this founder need right now?" You are the first person every founder calls in a crisis. - Technology Innovator: All analytical and synthesis work — market sizing, landscaping, competitive mapping, secondary research — goes into AI systems. Your time is reserved for the irreplaceable: relationships, taste, judgment, primary conversations, and selling. You have built systems and workflows far more sophisticated than basic LLM usage and are constantly experimenting with new ways to compress months of work into weeks. ABOUT THE ROLE: As our Director, Fund Accounting & Investment Operations, you will deliver senior technical accounting judgment as well as own the execution of fund accounting and fund administration processes for Redesign Health’s US and International Funds. You are someone with a strong grasp of fund accounting strategy and technical GAAP nuances, who is also highly willing and capable of hands-on execution in the details. This means you will own technical fund accounting and financial reporting, as well as the end-to-end investor operations lifecycle. That lifecycle includes preparing capital call and distribution notices, drafting fund financial statements, owning investor-facing fund reporting, managing tax and compliance reporting, as well as responding to questions and requests from Redesign’s investors. You will bring human judgment to AI-native transformation projects while we both grow domestically and scale new international funds. You will have access to AI experts and frontier AI tools that enable you to run the transformed function you will help design. You will report to and work very closely with our Controller, as well as with our broader Strategy & Finance and Legal teams. WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Fund Accounting, NAV & Financial Statements: Own fund accounting across a complex multi-vehicle structure of SPVs, aggregators, parallel funds, and offshore blockers. Maintain the books in Allvue, own and review quarterly NAV packages and Partner Capital statements. Oversee bank, trial balance, and investment reconciliations. Prepare and review fund financial statements, some audited. - Capital Calls, Distribution & Investor Operations: Run capital call and distribution cycles end to end, including pro-rata sharing calculations, equalization and late-admission true-ups, notice preparation and validation, wire-instruction verification, and flow-of-funds execution with banking partners. Own investor onboarding and subscriptions, KYC/AML, the accuracy of investor-facing statements, and handle investor-sensitive accounting exceptions that must be resolved before they reach an LP. - Investor Relations and Communications: You will own the resolution of investor questions and requests sent to our Investor Relations inbox. This includes answering investor questions about fund mechanics, replying to reporting requests, completing investor audit confirmations, addressing inquiries from investor tax and accounting teams, as well as resolving ad hoc investor questions. - Tax, Compliance, and Reporting Oversight: Review and sign off on K-1s, partnership tax forms (1042/8804), FATCA/CRS reporting, and investor reporting across the fund complex. You will coordinate and review the work of external preparers and specialists and hold them to standard. You will ensure the quality and accuracy of regulatory reporting obligations such as Form ADV and CIMA. - Technical Accounting, Fund Launches & Audit: Serve as the senior reviewer and technical accounting owner for fund structuring, fund changes, and new fund launches. Own external fund audits end to end, from PBC delivery to liaising with auditors and external fund compliance advisors. - AI-Native Process Design: Partner with the Controller and the Technology & AI team creating AI-native fund administration processes. You will provide the fund accounting knowledge, and contribute to the design of systems that let AI carry the preparation work while judgment, signoff, and exceptions stay with you. - International Fund Scale-Up: Partner with Strategy & Finance, Legal, and local advisors to stand up and scale fund accounting and investment operations for new international funds across multiple markets, including the banking, entity, and compliance infrastructure each new fund requires. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: - You have a CPA (or equivalent license), with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - 8+ years in fund accounting and fund administration within venture capital, private equity, or hedge funds including time as a senior reviewer and not solely as a preparer. You have had exposure to a wide variety of private fund structures, investment vehicles, and investment instruments. - Deep command of US partnership accounting and complex fund structures (SPVs, aggregator and parallel funds, holding vehicles, offshore blockers, and international funds). - Demonstrated ownership of capital calls, distributions, NAV and capital account calculations, valuations, and the review of fund financial statements. - Experience leading external fund audits and managing fund administrators, auditors, and external legal counsel. - Willingness to evaluate, learn and adopt frontier AI tools in all of your day to day tasks. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE: - High proficiency with fund accounting software (Allvue experience a strong plus). - Deep experience with investor relations CRM platforms for managing broad investor communications and document distribution. - Exposure to highly technical new fund launches, fund structuring, or standing up accounting for new vehicles or jurisdictions. - Familiarity with cap table administration and partnership tax and K-1 reporting. - Working knowledge of KYC/AML, banking compliance, and cross-border requirements (e.g., FATCA, CRS, CIMA), and comfort operating across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions. - Familiarity with the capabilities of frontier AI tools (ex. Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cowork) and insatiable curiosity to learn them, even if you have not had the chance to use them yet. WHO YOU ARE: - Action Oriented. You readily take action on challenges and step up to tough issues with high urgency, energy and enthusiasm. You don’t plan unnecessarily, but identify and seize opportunities. You keep a can-do attitude in good and bad times. - Ensures Accountability. You follow through on commitments and make sure others do the same. You act with a clear sense of ownership, and take personal responsibility for decisions and outcomes, and build processes that make work monitorable and establish clear feedback loops for measuring results. - Manages Complexity. You ask the right questions, uncover root causes, and make sense of high-volume, sometimes contradictory information across entities and jurisdictions. You comfortably challenge confident-but-wrong conclusions regardless of whether they come from a person, an “expert”, or an AI. - Decision Quality. You make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information, relying on a mix of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment. You consider all relevant factors, apply the right criteria and principles, and recognize when a quick 80% solution will do and when a call has to be exactly right. - Tech Innovator. You proactively leverage new systems and tools for extraordinary productivity. You are comfortable disrupting your own ways of working to improve the system, while knowing exactly where human judgment must override. - Instills Trust. You earn confidence through accuracy, integrity, and consistency between word and action. You exemplify the qualities that investors, auditors, executives and regulators rely on. ABOUT THE COMPANY: Redesign Health https://www.redesignhealth.com is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. ABOUT THE JOB: We're hiring an ambitious, self-initiated, product-minded Senior Director, Applied AI to build the agentic workflows that power Redesign’s most important decisions: the founders we back, the concepts we pursue, the people we hire, the investors we work with, and the healthcare partners we support. COMPENSATION AND LOCATION: You will work on a hybrid schedule from our offices in New York, San Francisco, or Bengaluru. We target world-class talent and compensate accordingly, with packages containing a mix of cash and fund equity.

ABOUT THE COMPANY Redesign Health http://redesignhealth.com is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. ABOUT THE ROLE Redesign Health is hiring an early-stage investor to focus on pre-seed deal sourcing and relationship development, with a particular emphasis on expanding our network in the healthcare AI ecosystem. This is a sourcing-first role for a self-starter who is energized by networking and excited to build relationships with high-potential founders. This role focuses on the earliest stage of our investment pipeline developing proprietary relationships, generating differentiated deal flow, and creating early access to amazing founders in Redesign Health’s strike zone. You will combine strong interpersonal instincts with structured sourcing discipline, and work closely with your partner Redesign Health teams on the path to Investment Committee. We are looking for someone who is AI-innate and naturally uses AI tools, data signals, and workflow automation to build a differentiated sourcing engine. The best candidates are natural connectors with strong founder instincts who can combine judgment, hustle, ecosystem fluency, and AI tooling to turn fragmented signals into real founder relationships at 10x the scale than anyone could have done previously. WHAT YOU’LL DO Founder & Ecosystem Development - Build a dense, trusted network across founders, angels, scouts, venture funds, operators, and entrepreneurial communities. Develop real market presence in the places where exceptional founders actually emerge. Expand Redesign’s network and visibility in the AI healthcare ecosystem by tracking which operators are turning into founders, which micro-communities are producing breakout talent, and where conviction is building before the rest of the market catches up. Bring those insights back into Redesign’s investment process and broader platform. Active Founder Sourcing - Source high-potential pre-seed investment opportunities through relationship-driven founder sourcing. Identify founders who fit Redesign’s from pre-idea founders just starting to explore their next venture to founders leading pre-seed stage companies. Sourcing should cover operator networks, universities, accelerators, founder communities, events/dinners, and other relevant digital channels via a combination of active in-market engagement and desk sourcing. You’ll maintain an active, high-quality pipeline of founders / deals and have a strong point of view on the level of attention needed for each to convert. Maintaining Our Founder Bar - Understand what exceptional founders look like and ensure that our founders in our pipeline reflect that expectation. As you continue to engage founders, you should be relaying learnings for founder attributes and signals we should prioritize as part of any future sourcing activities. Team Ecosystem Orchestration Design and orchestrate Redesign’s broader ecosystem presence. Map the universities, accelerators, regional ecosystems, founder communities, and events where Redesign should have sustained relationships, and create opportunities for other members of the investment team to engage directly. You are both a pilot and air traffic controller: personally deep in the highest-priority networks while routing teammates into the right rooms, relationships, and conversations so that Redesign’s coverage multiplies beyond any single person’s reach. Partnering with Founders from Sourcing Through Diligence & IC - Build trust quickly with founders and engage credibly from the first conversation. You'll work alongside founders through evaluation, diligence, and the lead-up to their IC pitch. For founders just starting to explore what's next, you'll speak competently across Redesign thesis areas to both entice them and demonstrate our insight into the healthcare market. During diligence, you'll surface key questions that would impact an investment decision and support process management with speed and rigor. While the role is sourcing-first, it offers meaningful exposure to how conviction is built and how investment decisions get made. AI-Native Sourcing Systems - Build and continuously refine an AI-enabled sourcing engine. Use data signals, workflow automation, network mapping, market monitoring, and AI tools to identify founder targets, prioritize outreach, track ecosystem movement, and improve sourcing productivity. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Background - 2–5 years of experience in venture capital, early-stage investing, startups, or a related field - Direct previous exposure to founder sourcing or venture ecosystem development is strongly preferred Core Competencies - Network Density: You know how to build real relationships across founders, angels, microfunds, operators, and investors. - Founder Judgment: You have early instincts for exceptional people, including those who may not fit obvious or over-credentialed patterns. - Sourcing Drive: You are energized by the hunt. You do not wait for opportunities to come to you; you create them through consistent market engagement. - Opportunity Evaluation: You are interested not just in people, but in what they are building, why it matters, and whether it can become a venture-scale business. - Process Discipline: You can run an active pipeline with rigor with timely follow-ups, clear prioritization, CRM hygiene, and signal tracking all stay tight. - Systems Thinking: You think about ecosystem coverage as a system design opportunity diagnosing gaps in our network and solving for how we can maximize our presence, time, and effort across channels. Behavioral Skills - Self-Starter: You are comfortable working independently and can own the execution of your own responsibilities. You are proactive in transforming your workflows and don’t wait for someone else to tell you something is wrong or should be improved. - Relationships Over Transactions: You understand that proprietary deal flow comes from developing trust, reputation, and demonstrating value to every founder or external partner we engage. You take the long view of working with people and don’t drop the relationship if it isn’t immediately valuable. - Natural Connector: You move easily across ecosystems, make warm introductions instinctively, and create network effects around yourself. - Entrepreneurial: You are resourceful, proactive, and comfortable building from ambiguity. You treat the sourcing engine itself as a product to be developed. - Founder-First: You communicate with empathy and credibility. Founders feel that you understand them, what they are trying to build, and why it matters. - Technology Innovator: You proactively leverage AI and emerging technology tools to create extraordinary productivity and impact. You think ahead about how your role will evolve and independently experiment with, adopt, and refine technology-driven solutions. Managing Director, New Ventures Redesign Health + Cedars-Sinai Digital Innovation Platform ABOUT THE COMPANY: Redesign Health https://www.redesignhealth.com/ is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. ABOUT THE ROLE: Most healthcare investors wait for companies to come to them. This role creates them. Redesign Health and Cedars-Sinai have launched a Digital Innovation Platform, a first-of-its-kind venture creation engine embedded inside one of the world’s premier academic medical centers. You will have something almost no one in healthcare venture has: a fully committed institutional partner with world-class clinical expertise, deep data assets, and the infrastructure to pilot and validate at scale - all before a company writes its first check to a customer. The access is real. The commitment is structural, not performative. As Managing Director, New Ventures, you will run Redesign’s side of this partnership end to end. This is a -1 to 0 role. Your job is to take clinical pain points and institutional white space and turn them into funded, founder-led operating companies. You will work inside Cedars-Sinai’s innovation infrastructure to surface high-conviction opportunities, develop original investment theses around them, attract exceptional founders, and shepherd concepts through co-ideation and diligence to Redesign’s Investment Committee. The right person for this role has built things before: companies, investment theses, teams, or programs in healthcare. You might come from venture capital, corporate venture, health system innovation, strategy, or operations. What matters more than your last title is that you have the commercial judgment to know which problems are worth solving, the taste to identify founding talent, and the credibility to be taken seriously by clinicians, executives, and entrepreneurs in the same week. You are the kind of person who earns trust inside institutions and moves with urgency once you have it. This position is based in Los Angeles. You get to be onsite 3–4 days per week in our Cedars-Sinai office. WHAT YOU’LL DO: PARTNERSHIP OPERATIONS & GOVERNANCE Own the day-to-day relationship between Redesign Health and Cedars-Sinai. Serve as the accountable driver of delivery against the partnership’s commitments. Prepare materials for and participate in Joint Operating Committee, Steering Committee, and Investment Committee meetings. Build deep, trust-based relationships with clinical and administrative stakeholders across the health system - department heads, researchers, operational leaders, and the Digital Innovation team so that when opportunities surface, you are the first person they call. THESIS DEVELOPMENT & CO-IDEATION Work inside Cedars-Sinai’s clinical ecosystem to identify the problems worth building companies around. Engage directly with clinicians, researchers, and operational leaders to understand where digital solutions can create outsized value. Translate those insights into original investment theses grounded in stakeholder willingness to pay, clinical workflow integration, and market structure. The platform’s initial focus areas include personalized medicine, specialty care access, hospital workflow optimization, clinical decision support, and care coordination, but you will shape these thematic priorities as the partnership evolves. FOUNDER SOURCING & ENGAGEMENT Identify and attract exceptional founders to lead the companies this platform creates. The value proposition you are selling is unlike anything else in the market: a validated clinical thesis, first institutional capital, day-one access to Cedars-Sinai’s provider network and data platform, a committed first customer, and Redesign’s full venture-building infrastructure. Your job is to present this proposition compellingly so that exceptional talent chooses this path over well-funded alternatives, and also to evaluate founder-market fit with the judgment to say no quickly when conviction is lacking. Beyond sourcing for specific companies, build Los Angeles into a destination for healthcare entrepreneurship. Develop relationships with local universities, cultivate a community of technical and clinical talent, and position the Cedars-Sinai Digital Innovation Platform as the center of gravity for founders who want to build healthcare companies in LA. The Bay Area doesn’t have a monopoly on great founders, but someone has to make that case and back it up with infrastructure. That’s you. DILIGENCE & IC DELIVERY Stress-test your own theses harder than anyone else will. Identify the two or three questions that truly matter for each concept and resolve them through primary conversations with clinicians, payers, and potential customers. Shepherd founders and concepts to Redesign’s Investment Committee with clarity, speed, and honest representation of risks. Concepts should arrive at IC with a clear path to Cedars-Sinai as a design partner and first customer. PLATFORM & PORTFOLIO SUPPORT Once companies are funded, serve as the primary interface between founding teams and Redesign’s platform. Help founders access Cedars-Sinai’s clinical network for piloting, implementation, and research validation. Deliver Redesign’s strategic support: domain expertise, go-to-market acceleration, fundraising positioning, and governance insight. Know when to lean in and when to step back - the founder’s success is the only thing that matters. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Lead and develop the New Ventures team assigned to the Cedars-Sinai partnership. Provide direct management for Associates and Principals. Mentor junior talent while contributing to Redesign’s broader organizational strategy and venture creation methodology. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: BACKGROUND - 8–10+ years of experience in healthcare, with meaningful exposure to company creation, investing, or strategic innovation - whether from venture capital, corporate venture, health system innovation, strategy consulting, operations, or a combination - Experience working with or inside large healthcare organizations (academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, payers, or health tech companies serving them) and an intuition for how institutions adopt new technology - Healthcare domain expertise with the ability to develop original investment theses across care delivery, health tech, and digital health - Fluency in business model analysis, primary and secondary research, investment thesis development, and financial modeling - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred CORE COMPETENCIES - Institutional Credibility: You earn trust with senior clinicians, health system executives, and C-suite leaders. You’ve worked inside or alongside complex organizations and know how to build internal champions, align incentives across departments, and turn institutional interest into institutional commitment. - Founder Instinct: A refined sense of what “great” looks like in founding talent, including the ability to recognize the exceptional in non-standard backgrounds. You can sell a vision and close a founder. - Commercial Judgment: You map every concept to a specific stakeholder’s willingness to pay, understand unit economics, and sense whether a business model can scale. Academic depth paired with commercial instinct. - Speed to Kill: The ability to say no quickly to concepts, founders, and your own ideas. Nothing lingers in an uncertain state. Time spent on mediocre opportunities is time away from exceptional ones. BEHAVIORAL SKILLS - Relationships Over Research: You spend disproportionate time with clinicians, founders, VCs, operators, and payers. A few sharp primary conversations answer questions that weeks of secondary research cannot. - Radical Honesty: You surface risks early, communicate directly even when the message is unwelcome, and maintain strong opinions loosely held. - Partnership Orientation: You subordinate process preferences to founder needs. You are the first person every founder calls in a crisis and the person Cedars-Sinai’s team trusts to represent the partnership accurately. Location: This is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days in-office in Los Angeles. This position will offer a base salary of $240,000 plus a market-leading carry & benefits package. The expected base pay range for this position is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

Redesign Health

ABOUT THE COMPANY: Redesign Health https://www.redesignhealth.com/ is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. About the Role: As a Managing Director of New Ventures, you will back exceptional founders at the earliest stage—often before an idea is fully formed—providing first institutional capital and an unmatched degree of strategic leverage and domain expertise through launch and beyond. THOUGHT LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL INFLUENCE: Serve as a healthcare thought leader internally and externally. Teach the organization about emerging healthcare × AI opportunities—what’s interesting, why it matters, and how the market is evolving. Proactively mobilize cross-functional teams (Venture Traction, Founder Strategy, legal, finance, technology) early in the deal process. Feed insights from founders, market conversations, and co-ideation back into Redesign’s platform capabilities. Represent Redesign externally with the credibility and depth that makes world-class founders want to have a conversation. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: BACKGROUND - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred, with a record of high academic achievement. - 10+ years of experience with a significant portion in venture capital, company building, or early-stage investing. Direct experience evaluating founders and making investment decisions at the pre-seed to Series A stage is strongly preferred. - Deep healthcare domain expertise with the ability to develop original investment theses across care delivery, health tech, and healthcare services. - Established network across the venture capital, healthcare operator, and startup ecosystems with a demonstrated ability to source and attract exceptional founding prospects. - Fluency in business model analysis, investment thesis development, and financial modeling. - Track record of end-to-end ownership—leading work from thesis to founder to investment decision with minimal oversight. This position will be based out of either NYC or San Francisco. Full-time base salary of $240,000 plus a market-leading carry & benefits package. The expected base pay range for this position is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
