Ministry of Innovation And Technology- Ethiopia

The Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MInT) of Ethiopia was established in 2019 through the merger of the former Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. MInT is responsible for promoting the development of the country's digital economy and innovation ecosystem. The ministry focuses on key areas such as research, innovation, technology transfer, and digitalization, aiming to build a national digital system that supports growth and fair participation in the digital landscape. MInT runs various programs, including the Five Million Coders Initiative, which provides free online training to enhance digital skills among Ethiopian youth.
