As part of the Close the Gap group, it focuses on refurbishing and redistributing ICT equipment while running training and incubation programs, particularly in Mombasa. The organization operates a Circular Economy Hub that supports logistics and refurbishment efforts in the region. Founded in 2003 globally and starting operations in Kenya in 2019, Close the Gap Kenya is certified as a B Corporation, reflecting its commitment to social and environmental performance. Its services include incubation programs for young entrepreneurs, training in ICT hardware and soft skills, and IT asset management. The company provides quality pre-owned and refurbished ICT equipment, primarily sourced from European and international companies, to support educational, medical, and social projects in underserved communities across East Africa.
