The Community Futures Program is a federal government initiative, which was established in 1984 to assist rural communities in the development of strategies for dealing with a changing economic environment. The program is based on the philosophy that local decision-making and local development are the most effective means for communities to shape their future. We believe that providing small businesses with resources leads to job creation and economic growth. Over the past 31 years, B.C. has become a small business economy. Community Futures has played a leading role in that growth by providing financing and small business training. An evaluation of the Community Futures program during the period 2003 to 2008 was completed by the Federal Government using Business Information Numbers and Revenue Canada Data. The results showed that businesses assisted by Community Futures: •Increased employment by 18% compared with businesses not assisted at 10% •Increased revenue by 26% compared with 20% for unassisted businesses.

Community Futures Sun Country provides business loans, training, and advisory services for small businesses in the Sun Country. We also promote rural economic development.

Community Futures Western Ontario (CFWO) is a non-profit, community driven organization. Through our 21 Community Futures offices located across rural western Ontario and our SOFII program, we support business development and growth and offer business loans.

Forward Lawrence is a nonprofit organization established in 2021 through the merger of the Lawrence County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation. Located in New Castle, Pennsylvania, it aims to drive economic growth and enhance community services in Lawrence County. The organization is led by CEO Albert “Chip” Abramovic and Creative Director Mary Perry. The mission of Forward Lawrence is to transform lives by promoting excellence in leadership and business development. It emphasizes collaboration with public and private sectors to create economic opportunities for both existing and new businesses. Key services include workforce and community development, business attraction, retention, expansion, grant writing, and public business financing. Forward Lawrence also partners with the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center to offer consulting services to small businesses.

IUECC provides a variety of services to support business development, including networking and trade facilitation, startup growth assistance, and consultation on market entry strategies. The organization also offers market research, educational programs, and advisory services on legal and compliance matters. Membership is available to entrepreneurs, startups, and businesses of all sizes, with opportunities for non-members to participate in select events. IUECC highlights Dubai as a strategic hub for innovation and investment, making it an ideal location for businesses looking to expand.

Initiative Pays de Martigues Côte Bleue (IPMCB) is a French association established on June 11, 1998, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs in the Martigues Côte Bleue region. As a member of the national Réseau Initiative France network, IPMCB focuses on helping individuals launch and sustain their businesses. The organization boasts a strong success rate, with 90% of supported enterprises surviving beyond three years. IPMCB offers a range of services, including free advisory support for business creators and developers. They provide interest-free personal loans, known as "prêt d'honneur," ranging from 5,000€ to 30,000€, which are repayable over 3-5 years. The association also tailors support for specific groups and sectors, including agriculture and innovation, and assists in securing additional funding for long-term projects. Networking events and workshops are part of their community engagement efforts, fostering connections among local entrepreneurs.

Hosted by the College of Southern Maryland, it has been part of the national SBDC network since 1979. The center provides no-cost confidential consulting, high-quality training, and research services to entrepreneurs and business owners at all stages of their journey. Core services include one-on-one counseling, low- or no-cost workshops, and specialized consulting in areas such as business planning, legal compliance, marketing, and funding access. The SBDC also offers growth strategies, management training, and themed workshops tailored to different business development stages.
