DEEP Academy Qatar

DEEP Academy Qatar is ESMT’s selective entrepreneurship education for scientists exploring research commercialization and venture creation. The 2026 life-sciences cohort combines self-paced preparation, seven in-person days in Doha, project work, and an online financing session between September 14 and November 4. It is fully funded for selected participants and offers a completion certificate. Its core offer is instruction, rather than guaranteed capital or an operating-company placement.

Develop entrepreneurial competencies, assess commercial and market potential, improve team effectiveness and decision-making, refine commercialization plans, and understand financing innovation. A Life Science Venturing Simulation develops commercial judgment.

Module 0: self-paced startup clarity project and entrepreneur characteristics assessment, September 14-17, 2026. Module 1: four in-person days in Doha, September 21-24. Between modules: structured teamwork, online content, and a live financing session, September 25-November 1. Module 2: three in-person days in Doha, November 2-4.

Life-sciences scientists who are based in Qatar or affiliated with a Qatar academic or research institution. A defined startup idea and previous entrepreneurial experience are not required. Full availability on scheduled days is expected; missing more than 20% may require a future cohort.
