Microsoft Accelerator (Accelerator) is a global startup accelerator program designed to help startups rapidly grow, develop, and scale. The program brings together entrepreneurs from around the world to develop their ideas, build a sustainable business, and scale into successful companies. Accelerator provides access to the Microsoft network of customers, partners, and mentors, and provides resources from Microsoft, such as technical support, strategic advice, and business development support. The Accelerator program is divided into three stages: first, startups participate in an intensive three-month bootcamp. During this period, startups will have access to an advisory board, mentorship, workshops, and other resources. At the end of the bootcamp, startups present their business plan and pitch to a panel of experienced investors and venture capitalists. After that, selected startups will receive funding and the opportunity to participate in a six-month program, during which they receive further advice and coaching from Microsoft and its partners. At the end of the six-month program, startups will again present their business plan to a panel of investors and venture capitalists. Those that are selected will have the opportunity to receive additional funding and mentorship. The program culminates in a Demo Day, where selected startups present their vision and progress to potential investors, partners, customers, and other stakeholders. The Accelerator program has seen many success stories since its inception in 2012. One successful example is FourKites, a software platform that provides real-time visibility across the supply chain. Through the Accelerator program, FourKites received mentorship and exposure from Microsoft partners and customers, and received a Series A funding round of $17 million in 2015. The Accelerator program has also seen success with other startups, such as the business collaboration platform Asana, the artificial intelligence platform X.ai, and the professional networking platform Linkedin. Other startups that have gone through the program have raised anywhere from $2 million to $30 million in funding. Overall, Microsoft Accelerator (Accelerator) has proven to be an effective way to help startups in their growth and development. The program provides access to resources, mentorship, funding, and exposure that can accelerate the growth of any startup. It has produced many success stories over the years, proving that with the right guidance and resources, any startup can achieve success.
