Premios Rei Jaume I is a prestigious award program administered by the Fundación Premios Rei Jaume I, established in 1989 to promote scientific research, development, and entrepreneurship in Spain. The awards are held annually and are presided over by the Spanish King during a ceremony in Valencia. They recognize individuals for significant contributions across various fields, with winners joining the Alto Consejo Consultivo en Investigación y Desarrollo of the Generalitat Valenciana. The foundation grants awards in several categories, including Basic Research, Economics, Biomedical Research, Clinical Research and Public Health, Environmental Protection, New Technologies, and Entrepreneurial Revelation. Each award includes a €100,000 prize, a gold medal, and a diploma, with winners expected to reinvest part of their prize in Spanish research or entrepreneurship. The program aims to stimulate economic growth in science and elevate Spanish technology on the global stage by attracting distinguished jurors, including numerous Nobel laureates.

The Dell Social Innovation Competition (DSIC) is a global initiative that encourages university students to develop innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges. Grow-NY is an international business competition that supports high-growth food and agtech startups with up to $3 million in annual prize money, including a top prize of $1 million. Funded by Empire State Development and administered by Cornell University’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement, the initiative aims to foster a vibrant food and agriculture innovation cluster in Upstate New York's Finger Lakes, Central NY, and Southern Tier regions. The competition attracts innovative startups from around the world, with up to 20 finalists receiving mentorship and opportunities for business development. Finalists participate in the annual Grow-NY Food and Ag Summit, where they pitch their ideas. Winning companies commit to creating jobs and establishing operations in the region. Grow-NY focuses on early-stage startups in the agrifood system, supporting innovations in food, beverage, agriculture, and sustainable technologies. The program also connects participants with resources from Cornell AgriTech and other partners to enhance their growth and development.

The International Data Science Olympiad (IDSOL) is an artificial intelligence (AI) solution design competition for students worldwide, with emphasis on commercial and technical practicality.

Project Pitch It is a Wisconsin-based television show and entrepreneurial platform where entrepreneurs present their business ideas to a panel of business moguls. The show aims to inspire viewers by combining entrepreneurship, education, and entertainment. Since its inception, it has featured 196 entrepreneurs and awarded over $4 million in support. Airing weekly across various television networks in Wisconsin, Project Pitch It reaches more than 80,000 viewers each week. Created and executive produced by Bev Greenberg, the show showcases three entrepreneurs per episode who pitch their innovative products or services. They compete for awards exceeding $40,000, including the $10,000 Project Pitch It Award and the $1,500 We Energies/DNA Award. The platform offers exposure, expert feedback, and resources to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful businesses.

The Hessischer Gründerpreis, or Hessian Founder Award, is an annual recognition program that celebrates entrepreneurs and businesses in Hesse, Germany. Established in 2003, it aims to highlight young companies and their founders, providing them with visibility and support. The award is funded by European resources from the Regional Development Fund. Eligible participants include young companies based in Hesse that have been active for up to five years, as well as business successors. The competition features four categories: Innovative Business Idea, Sustainable Succession, Social Impact, and University Start-Up. The selection process involves three rounds, culminating in a final presentation at the Hessian start-up scene symposium. Winners and finalists are recognized during an award ceremony held annually in November, attended by the Hessian Minister of Economics.
