Madurai is the district headquarters of Madurai district in Tamil Nadu, India.

Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) reports that its Madurai technology business incubator has operated since 2014 with DST/NSTEDB funding support and serves aspiring students, alumni, and entrepreneurs. TCE lists Tamirabot Advanced Engineering for EV charging connector manufacturing and Tomgo Agri Machines for compact excavation equipment; it lists Shadvik Nutri Best as producing millet foods under the Millet ‘n’ Minutes brand. TCE also reports a co-incubation partnership with IIT Madras Incubation Cell dating to June 2022.

Aurolab attributes its origin to the Aravind Eye Care ecosystem and describes intraocular lenses as its initial product focus; it dates its lens-engineering initiative to 1992. Solartis identifies Madurai as a delivery and operations center and identifies its corporate headquarters as Manhattan Beach, California. In a January 25, 2023 disclosure, Happiest Minds described Sri Mookambika Infosolutions (SMI) as Madurai-headquartered and announced a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the company for ₹111 crore; the announced consideration does not establish final settlement.

iTNT reports that its Madurai Regional Hub opened on September 26, 2025, and serves Madurai, Virudhunagar, Dindigul, Theni, and Sivagangai districts. Nativelead describes a startup pitch platform for investor access and support after fundraising. On October 4, 2026, official pages displayed TCE incubation, Nativelead pitch, iTNT regional connection, and iTNT incubation registration routes; TCE intake, Nativelead acceptance terms, and iTNT open intake or cohort deadline were unverified.
