Savoie Mont Blanc Angels (SAMBA) is a non-profit association focused on local investment in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, particularly the Alpine corridor. Established between 2006 and 2008, SAMBA is part of the national France Angels network and has over 400 proximity investors. The organization aims to promote economic development and job creation through patient capital investments and support for innovative startups, growing SMEs, and company transitions. With 180 members contributing over 7,000 hours of volunteer work annually, SAMBA has supported more than 71 companies since its inception, raising over 13 million EUR. The association provides equity financing, ongoing mentoring, and access to a network of qualified experts. It focuses on various business stages, offering investment vehicles like SIBAs and SCRs to foster local job creation and support regional enterprises. SAMBA emphasizes human-centered finance and structured support for both entrepreneurs and investors in the local economy.

West Coast Angel Network (WeCAN) is a purpose-driven network of Angel investors driving forward diversity representation on the cap table. We know inclusion and diversity matters, and yet diversity is still not represented equitably in most positions of influence (see our website for some sobering metrics). Applying an investor-led model, members work together to learn the investment process using hands-on experience while expanding our network of like-minded professionals. Through learning the ins and outs of the investment continuum, members are empowered to confidently move beyond the immediate network, applying the concepts we've learned to diversified financial arenas. We strive to create an inclusive, supportive and fun learning environment. As a social venture, WeCAN's leadership team takes no management fees or carry: like all members, we're here to learn, have fun, expand our networks and return a profit on our investments.
