Scouting
Where Diego finds startups
I'm based in Milan, Italy, at the center of one of Europe's fastest-growing VC and innovation markets, where I actively scout for Flashpoint Capital. My day-to-day network comes from two places: my role in fintech, where I've led fundraising for over 6 years and built close relationships with Italian and European VCs, angels, and founders, and my scouting activity, which keeps me in regular contact with early-stage teams across Italy. This dual vantage point — operator inside a fintech company and active scout — means I naturally reach founders in fintech, banking, insurance, and payments, and I can spot promising Italian companies early, often before they're visible to funds without local, on-the-ground presence.
